Bon Voyage Canvas **Fabscraps**

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a canvas that I made this weekend using the NEW Romantic Travel Collection from Fabscraps.  These papers are so so gorgeous and this canvas was so so much fun. I recently purchased some Golden Crackle Paste from the Flying Unicorn store and have been dying to try it out and I LOVE the finished look. I have used lots of Shimmerz on the background to finish it all off.

The collection papers are in the background peeking out here and there. A collage of pieces from the collection.  The chippys are all with the collection too and they are finished with some Shimmerz mists. Look at that crackle....... Fabulicious!

I have tucked some gauz and a Fabscraps metal piece in with the flowers.

The paper doilies are misted with some Shimmerz and crinkled up. The cute little passport is also part of the Romantic Travel Collection from Fabscraps. The photo is from Magic Moonlight Studio free images.

*NEW* Kaisercraft **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and happy Sunday to you all! Today I have 2 layouts to share that I have created with some yummy NEW Kaisercraft Collections. 75 Cents and Base Coat are both available in the Flying Unicorn store now too! For my first layout I have used Base Coat on the bottom and 75 Cents on top. I have also used lots of yummy Green Tara flowers and trims, Shimmerz mists and Dusty Attic chippys.

Here you can see the delicious Green Tara flowers and trims. I also did some fussy cutting with the 75 Cents Collection.

The chippys is covered with Vibez Before Dawn and Mama Sings the Blues from Shimmerz.

For my next layout I have used the Base Coat Collection. I did some stamping and masking in the background, used lots of old stash flowers and added one of the new gorgeous Metal Adornments from Flying Unicorn.

Once again the Dusty Attic chippy is covered with Shimmerz mists and I have also sprayed the background with some Shimmerz Spritz and let it drip.

Easy Kroma Crackle **CT Flying Unicorn - Green Tara - SHIMMERZ

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog! I recently purchased some Kroma Crackle from the Flying Unicorn store and read up on it. Apparently it has a long drying time for a couple of days to get the crackle effect BUT I found this article on the Kroma site on how to do it in 5 minutes, sooooo that is what I am showing you today!

Step One:

I have taken plain white cardstock for this layout and distressed the edges. Then I applied some Shimmerz Spritz in Cotton Candy.

 Step Two:

I now applied some Shimmerz Vibez Before Dawn to where I will be using the Kroma Crackle. I also let it run down the page some and added a few splats for a cool effect.

 Step Three:

Use a white glue and do a layer where you will be places the crackle.

 Step Four:

While the glue is wet I have added more Shimmerz Spritz Cotton Candy on top for colors. Now use  your heat tool and dry this on a low setting, It might take a couple of minutes.

Step Five:

Use your finger and spread around a nice thick layer of Kroma Crackle.

 Step Six:

Again use your heat tool on a low setting and start to dry this. You will see it start to turn white fairly quickly and the cracks will start to appear.

Here is the finished Crackle look.

And here is my layout that I have created with this background. I have used 13ARTS in the background, fussy cut some bricks for the top. I used some black gesso on the Green Tara flowers and black Gelatos around the edges to finish it off. I also used 2 of the new yummy Flying Unicorn Adornments pieces.
 

 

 

The flowers and trims are from Green Tara. I have used some Shimmerz to color some of them to match my layout colors.

You are My Happy Place!

Woo Hoo and TGIF everyone! Today I have a layout to share that was created using a very yummy sketch from the lovely Leah Schaeffer at Stuck on U Sketches and Case File #59 this week at CSI.

 

The Scheme…I have use all of the colors..check! The frames are done with distress inks and molding paste. I have added some Cotton Candy and Licorice Spritz from Shimmerz in the background.

 

The Evidence ..I have used frames, distressing, molding paste and flourishes. Check! The chipboard pieces are all covered in Before Dawn Vibez from Shimmerz and dabs of gesso.

 

 

Testimony…I have used the case file photo as inspiration for my journaling. Case Solved! The flowers are from Green Tara with some Shimmerz Spritz on them.

Happy Day **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday out there. Yesterday I got some happy mail from the Flying Unicorn and I could not get home fast enough from work today to play with it all. I got the NEW 75 Cents Kaisercraft Collection….YUMMY! I have also used Kaisercrafts February Saturday Sketch #2 for this layout.

In the background I have used some molding pastes, and masking. I then sprayed on some Shimmerz mists and some Shimmerz splats.

I always love the cute fussy cut elements that some with these Kaisercraft collections.

I finished off my layout with some gause that is colored with some Shimmerz mists, some ScrapFX and Dusty Attic chippys and of course a few Kaisercraft blooms...all available in the store too!

Those Eyes **Shimmerz - Green Tara**

Hello everyone! Today I am  here with my first post using some yummy Shimmerz. I am just in love with the amazing colors and shimmer in these products. First I have a layout of my cutie pie grand daughter. As you can see the title came from those amazing eyes. In the background I have done a very light whitewash with some gesso first, then I applied some Shimmerz Spritz in Caribbean Sunset and Cotton Candy. I have used some 7Dots Collection from the Flying Unicorn store. All of the gorgeous flowers and trims are from Green Tara.

 

 The circles and splats are done with some Vibez Before Dawn mist.

 

The drips are also done with Vibez Before Dawn and in the background the flowers and trims were misted with some Spritz Caribbean Sunset. I wish you could see the shimmer and shine on this layout…so so delish!

I also have a tag to share today. The back piece is packaging from flowers and the corrugated board from a cardboard box. Just glue them together, add a coat of gesso and when that dries cover with your favourite Shimmerz mists. I have used some Spritz Cotton Candy and Truffle on the background.

The seam binding was white and I have covered it with some Spritz Carribean Sunset and Truffle. I just love how you can use these products to make all your embellishments match up perfectly.

CSI case file 58

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday to you all!!! Today I have a layout to share that I have created for the CSI reveal. I am so excited to be a Special Investigator this month at CSI. There is always so so much inspiration there. The colors and theme are all from CSI case file 58 and there is also a sketch with it this time if you want to try it out. I used the sketch with my layout.

 

The Scheme…I have use all of the colors..check

 

The Evidence ..I have wood (chicken wire chippys) metal (charm) and twine.

Testimony…My journaling is what ever came to mind…case solved YIPPEE!!! LOL!
