Fabulicious new Fabscraps

Hi everyone and happy Sunday to you all….well it looks like Spring might finally be on its way here. It is chilly but looks like it is going to be a gorgeous sunny day..weeeee! Today I have a layout and tag to share using some of the new FabscrapsCollections. For my layout I have used the Fabscraps Little Peeps Collection. This Collection is so much fun.

I did lots of distressing, inking and masking in the background. The circles are fussy cut from the collection papers and I used pop ups for dimention on them.

The trims are all from Green Tara and I finished it all off with a yummy Fabscraps Metal Embellishment.

For my tag I have used the new Fabscraps Romantic Travel Collection..definately one of my favourite collections. The colors and patterns are just so amazing.

Mixed Media Canvas Collage Tutorial **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks WCYDW ( What Can You Do Wednesday) with the Flying Unicorn ….today I have a video from start to finish on this canvas piece. This canvas took me 45 minutes from start to finish, but the video is in fast forward. I will give you a little glimpse into my creation process. To me a canvas is a lot like a journal…and I just wing it and do not really plan it.

They make the most adorable hangings and are great gift ideas. I hope that I can inspire you and that you will try one. Have a great week :)

All Boy **Fabscraps**

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Today I have a layout to share with one of the new collections from Fabscraps……Adrenaline Collection. This collection would be so amazing for heritage photos especially for those Military realated photos. It must be so hard to find papersto go with those types of photos. I know that I have a couple photos of my dad when he was in uniforn but unfortunately I can not find them…so I have done a layout of one of my grandsons..he is dressed up like a fireman hehe.

I have done lots of masking and distressing in the background. Look at all the cool embellishments that come with this collection!

I finished it off with a few Fabscraps Metal Embellishments…they are too much fun.

Papa's Girl **CT Flying Unicorn - Shimmerz**

Hi everyone…hope ou all had a fabulous ST Patty’s Day. It is Mojo Monday sketch day at the Flying Unicorn and this weeks sketch was created by our very own Tammy Henderson and it is just deliscious!

 

 I have used lots of Prima and lots of Shimmerz products on this layout. The pearl drops are done with a Viva Black Pearl pen. The chippys are coverd with Shimmerz Enamelz Sparkliscious and than I misted them with some Shimmerz Before Dawn Vibez.

 

Love the new Prima Crackle Mask and the cut Prima Engraver chippy pieces. The paper doily is misted with some Shimmerz Cotton Candy Spritz....this is one of my favs!

 

The main cluster has some of the new Prima paper flowers, a Flying Unicorn Adornment and I finished everything off by using a Black Gelato around the edges.

Altered Hanger **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. This month at the Flying Unicorn it is my turn to do the March Mid Month University Challenge. This months challenge is to alter something that is a household item. I have decided to alter a hanger and make a wall hanging. I have done a step by step on my creation.

 

 Step 1:
Choose your item, mine is a hanger.

Step 2:
Next I have traced the hanger two times making each one about an inch larger than the hanger. I have used paper from Prima Romance Novel collection

 Step 3:
Cut out the traced pieces and add some notches so the paper will adhere easier to the hanger. I have also used some seam binding ribbon and covered the top part of the hanger.

Step 4:
Glue the pieces to the hanger now.

Step 5:
I have fussy cut out a fairy, a bird cage and some flowers from Prima Fairy Belle Collection. Attach them to the hanger now and add a big bow.

Step 6:
I have used some ShimmerzTreasure Hymn and covered some white Prima flowers. Add to the hanger now.

Step 7:
I now loaded up the rest of the hanging with some lace, more flowers, Dusty Attic chippys, Flying UnicornAdornments and more ribbon.

Cherish **SOUS**

Woo Hoo and TGIF everyone! Today I have a layout to share that was created using a very yummy sketch from the lovely Sandi Clarkson at Stuck on U Sketches. I have used Kaisercraft 75 Cents Collection, Dusty Attic chippys, lots of Shimmerz and Green Tara flowers.

 

I have done a bit of stamping in the background and the chippys are finished with some Shimmerz Before Dawn Vibez and Seafoam Spritz. The chippys just shimmer with a mixture of the two colors.

After all the flowers, trims and fussy cut pieces were put into place I have given them all a quick mist with some Shimmerz Treasure Hymn Spritz, to tie them all together.

Once Upon a Fairytale **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone! This week Kelly and I are playing along with our Once Upon a Fairytale theme at the Flying Unicorn . Kelly has started this week’s theme with the Fairytale “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs”, and I have created a layout to go along with this theme…BUT I have chosen a different look at it. I have decided to just taken some things from the fairytale title and implemented them into my layout.

 

Her skin is as white as snow. 7 Dwarfs…well 7 layers, 7 white flowers, 7 different colors, 7 types of embellishments and 7 letters in the title.  I have used Kaisercraft 75 Cents Collection, Flying Unicorn Adornments and a Viva Décor Pearl Pen from the Flying Unicorn store. The Flowers are trims are from Green Tara.

Romantic Travel **Fabscraps**

I am back with a couple more creations to share using the gorgeous new Fabscraps Romantic Travel Collection. These are Arches and I have used chipboard pieces from the Collection Travel Mini Album to start on. I then covered the chipboard pieces with the yummy Romantic Travel Collection papers and added lots of extras to finish them off. 

For the Bon Voyage one I have covered the collection title chippy with some yummy Shimmerz Truffle Spritz. The crinkle seam binding is colored with the same Shimmerz Spritz. I have also used lots of Green Tara trims and flowers to finish off this piece.

I have used some Shimmerz Cotton Candy Spritz in the background, on some of the flowers and on the lace trims. Look at those adorable Fabscraps metal embellishments.

For the Travel Time Arch I have finished off the collection chippys with some Shimmerz Vibez in Before Dawn and some Shimmerz Seafoam Spritz. I love the contrast of the two colors together. I have also used Green Tara flowers and trims again to complete the project.

The background has been misted with both Shimmerz Seafoam and Truffle Spirtz.

I have also added in more of the cute Fabscraps metal pieces and some twine and seam binding bows for added touches.

Fabulicious Fabscraps

Hi everyone and a happy Sunday to you all! It is sooo pretty outside today and warming up finally too! Spring will be here before you know it. Today I have a layout to share that was made with the NEW yummy Fabscraps Litte Peeps Collection. The colors in this collection as so so Fabulicious! I have gone with a monochromic look for this layout and used the blues and grays in the collection.

 

As usual I have done lots of punching and distressing on all the layers. The cutie pie is my grandson.

 

I have added some fun Fabscraps Metal embellishments in with the flower cluster.

 

 

For my 2nd layout is hve used the fun and masculine Fabscraps Adrenaline. I have done lots of masking in the background to really grunge up this layout of my hubs....he took my car to the track...must be a guy thing? LOL!
