Sweet **Shimmerz - Flying Unicorn**

 

Hi everyone! Today I have a layout to share featuring the yummy new Shimmerz Dazzlerz products and Prima Engraver Collection from the Flying Unicorn store.

 

To start I have used a paintbrush on the pattern paper on the sides with some Olive Branch and Cotton Candy Spritz. The background is also misted with some Cotton Candy Spritz. Than I started to apply the new yummy Tutti Frutti DazzlerZ…this product is so thick and creamy and the Shimmer is just unreal gorgeous! I had so much fun with the Prima Collection...just love to fussy cut!

 

The flower vine is colored with some Before Dawn Vibez. Look at those fun drips I painted on with the Tutti Frutti DazzlerZ. For the stamping I have used Licorice DazzlerZ. Look at all that amazing texture. All of the collection embellishments are also available at the Flying Unicorn store.

Playing with the NEW Shimmerz Products.

Hello everyone! Finally the new Shimmerz DazzelerZ and TextureZ products are available. Yippee! I was so excited to get some and had to test them out on some projects that I am going to share with you today. First I tried a tag out.

 

Lots of time I will use dabs of gsso on edges on my projects so why not try out some of the new Tutti Frutti DazzelerZ instead. The texture is so thick and amazing and the Shimmer is just gorgeous. The flowers are colored with some Before Dawn Vibez.

 

Next I went a bit deeper into my testing, a journal page. The background is Cotton Candy and Sea Foam Spritz. I also used a crackle mask and the New Spun Sugar DazzelerZ. The new products are perfect for masking, they are so thick.

 

The flowers are created with a mask and some Crushed Coral TextureZ, Tutti Frutti and Spun Sugar DazzelerZ and the stems are painted with some Shimmerz paint. For the chippy I have dabbed on some Licorice Stick DazzelerZ. Just look at all that texture…yummy!

 

My final project was inspired by Adrienne Ford and her challenge at the Flying Unicorn. I have altered a glass vase. I first covered it with gesso than I applied with a sponge some Crushed Coral TextureZ and some Spun Sugar DazzelerZ. Once again the texture is amazing.

 

I than used some Treasured Hymn Spritz, Truffle Spritz and Hot Fudge Vibez to finish off the vase.

WOW look at all that texture and Shimmer…sigh! hehe

Lovely *Scrap for Help - Once Upon a Sketch*

HI everyone! This month the Flying Unicorn is the main sponsor for Once Upon aSketch and the team was invited to create using this months theme and sketch. I have also used this months theme from Scrap For Help, their theme this month is to use some old book pages. I decided to go with a simple layout with only lots of layers behind the photo. I want that gorgeous photo to be the main focus of this page. I have used Prima Rondelle Collection from the Flying Unicorn store.

 

Some fussy cut pieces from the collection and I have also added some machine stitching in the background. The little splats are Shimmerz Before Dawn Vibez.

Look at all those yummy layers! That gorgeous metal piece is a Flying Unicorn Adornment.

These book pages are very special to me. They are from a vintage music book that was my dads. I happen to get 2 of the same book, so one is used for my projects and one is on my piano.

Mixed Media Canvas

Hi everyone! Today I have a special project to share with you. It is a canvas that is loaded with texture in the background. I have used papers from my Flying Uniocorn April kit, lots of yummy Prima embellishments, Shimmerz Spritz’s and Vibez and for all that amazing texture I have used the new Shimmerz TextureZ Crushed Coral in the background.

First I have covered the canvas with papers and distressed the edges. After that was done I applied some gauz and did some masking with TextureZ in the background. Once that was dry I applied lots of yummy layers of Shimmerz Cotton Candy, Truffle and Treasured Hymn Spritz and finished it with some Shimmerz Hot Fudge Vibez. The awesome metal heart is an Adornment from Flying Unicorn.

The chippys are all from Scrap FX. LOVE their steam punk ones, and you can get them at the Flying Unicorn store. Check out that cool metal hinge. It is from Fabscraps.

Here you can see some of that awesome texture in the background.

I even made my own stick pin for the cluster.

The chippys are finished with the same colors of Shimmerz Spritz. That metal key is another Adornment from Flying Unicorn. I really wish you could see that background closer, the new TextureZ is just amazing.

Flying Unicorn April Kit of Month – Whispers of Spring – Part 2

Hi everyone and welcome to my 2nd reveal for the FlyingUnicorn April Kit of Month – Whispers of Spring. This kit is soooo amazing, definitely one of my favs so far. Today I have a layout and my Off The Page Project to share.  For the layout I have used BoBunny C’est La Vie Collection. My cutie pie grandsons.

 
For the background I have used lots of different Shimmerz paints for a colourful effect. The metal crown is one of the Flying Unicorn Adornments….they are so amazing.
 

 

Lots of layers to add dimension.

 

The Off the Page project this month is a multi frame. I have used some crackle paint first to cover the entire frame. Then I used the new Prima Engraver Collection from the Flying Unicorn store to finish this off.

 

I just love all of the beautiful flowers and embellishments that come with this collection.

Beautiful Memories - Guest Spot at Inkido

Hi everyone and welcome! Today I have two layouts to share with you featuring the new and yummy Beautiful Memories collection from Inkido. I was lucky enough to win this collection and they asked me to do a Guest Spot this month with them…and this collection is just gorgeous too!

 

 

For my first layout I have don’t lots of masking, misting, inking and stamping in the background.

The misting is Shimmerz Licorice Spritz and those cute lil butterflies are fussy cut from the collection papers.

I have done lots of distressing and tearing on the papers from dimension.

My next layout is also loaded with a mixed media background…It has become a stapple on my creations LOL!

The flowers are fussy cut from the papers and the others are also from Inkido.

To finish off with my Inkido feature here is one last layout that I created last month and shared on my blog.

Flying Unicorn April Kit of Month – Whispers of Spring – Part 1

Hi everyone and welcome to my first reveal for the FlyingUnicorn April Kit of Month – Whispers of Spring. This kit is soooo amazing, definitely one of my favs so far. I will share 3 layouts with you today. My first layout I have used BoBunny C’est La Vie Collection.

Lots of dimension and layers on this layout. I also used a black gelato around the outside edges.

 
This kit is just loaded with lots of yummy flowers from Prima, Manor House and Flying Unicorn. The masking is done with some of the new Shimmerz TextureZ.

 My next layout is definitely my fav I made. I used the Prima BAP sketch from March for this one. This is my cutie pie grandson. I have used Prima LifeTime Collection. It is just such a gorgeous collection.

 I did lots of fussy cutting and added in lots of layers.

I added some Shimmerz Spritz in the background and some drips.

 

My last layout is also with the Prima LifeTime Collection…seriously so much texture on these papers.

 I added even more texture in the background with some masking and some Spritz splats.

 

Once again lot of fussy cutting and yummy layers.
