Key to my Heart *Prima BAP- Flying Unicorn*

Hi everyone! Today I have my Prima BAP layout to share. I did not get to play with last months and sure missed it. My grandson just had a photo shoot by End of the Road Photography..he is their little model awwwww. He is such a flirt for the camera that one hehe. So anyways I decided to play with the BAP sketch and this one. The Flying Unicorn just loaded the store with lots of Finnabair stamps, Mechanicals and Junkyard Findings and I got my order this week. These are just too much fun to play with and I can tell already this new checker stamp is going to be used lots.

 

  

Of course my background has splashes and drips of Shimmerz on it. Don’t you just love these junkyard findings lightbulbs!

 

I even got to use up some older Prima goodies on this layout. The crystals are ages old. The big green flower is even older and was HUGE…I just tore it down a bit and used the top piece of the flower.

 

I just adore the new Mechanical metal pieces. Cool bottle caps and keys!

Family Memories **Flying Unicorn Mojo Monday Sketch**

HI everyone…and Happy Monday to you all! It is Mojo Monday Sketch time at the Flying Unicorn and this weeks sketch was created by Alda…Funny story is …yepp we had a bit of a snag at the Flying Unicorn this week and I had this layout done so Alda created the sketch from my layout …..we have to keep the Mojo Monday going no matter what ……LOVE it! I have used some Teresa Collins Memorabilia Collection. We had so much fun at CHA at the TC booth and this was one of the collections I fell in love with there. The cutie pies are 2 of my grandkids just having a fun moment together.

 

  

Look at all the fun frames and pieces to fussy cut with this collection. The background masking is done with some yummy Shimmerz Dazzlerz.

 

I think the little bits of yellow just make this layout pop.

 

The drips are a mixture of gesso and Shimmerz mists….nice chalky look.

Some Mixed Media Fun **Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone! It is my turn to run the Mixed Media Challenge this month at the Flying Unicorn. My challenge to myself was to use more stamping along with the mixed media background. I also used this weeks yummy Mojo Monday sketch from the Flying Unicorn! I have used 7 Dots Messy Head Collection now available at the Flying Unicorn store.

 

 

 

 For my inspiration piece I have done a layout with lots of mixed media on it. The background here is a thin layer of gesso and than I started to stamp and add some masking.

 

Once I added the flower clusters I started to add some Shimmerz mists, making sure to completely spray all of the clusters as well. Might as well let it all drip, just adds to the background.

 

I love stamping, I have so many stamps that I never use. I love how much they add in a background and I hope that you try to use yours more.

CSI Case File 89 Guest Detective

Hi there! This month the Flying Unicorn is the main sponsor for CSI Challenges. Such a great challenge site, amazing color palettes and themes to work with. This weeks case file even has a sketch (which ya of course I totally forgot to use LOL) ! My layout is of my cutie pie grandson…awwwwww look at that face and those happy eyes of his, just too stinking cute! I have used some 7 DOTs papers and lots of Shimmerz Texturez and mists for the background.

 

I decided to use up some of the millions (well at least hundreds) of letters I have lying around. I used a tut from Lydell at Shimmerz to create the Texturez circles.

 

The chippy is from Dusty Attic and Prima flowers.

Rough & Tough **Fabscraps Wild at Heart Collection**

Hi everyone! Yippee it is Friday tomorrow…wow what a long week! Today I have a layout to share and I have used the New Fabscraps Wild atHeart Collection. This collection is just sooo much fun and the colors are truly amazing! This is my cutie pie grandson…always a big smile for the camera !

 

The chippys are all from the collection and I have just painted them white and added some embossing enamel to them.

 

 Lots of stamping and masking in the background.

 

The rosette flowers are also make with the collection pieces and I finished it off with some cute Fabscraps metals.

Fabscraps Angelic Christmas Collection

Hi everyone! Today I have two more layouts to share that I have created with the yummy Angelic Christmas Collection from Fabscraps. I have decided to go rather clean and simple on these. At the Flying Unicorn this month, we are running a clean and simple section to help new scrappers, give tips to seasoned scrappers, etc. After all not everyone likes to do mixed media all of the time.

 

 

 

My first layout is a lift from a very talented lady…Marilia. I love all of the empty space.

 

The chippy is from the collection and just coverd with some white dabber paint. The adorable butterflies are metal embellishments from Fabscraps.

 

My next layout is also a clean and simple one, but I have done a bit more distressing on it.

 

The collection chippy is covered with some Stampendous aged embossing enamel.

Adding Color XOXO - Authentique and Shimmerz

Hi everyone! Today I am back with part 2 of my Authentique guest spot and I have a fun layout to share with a little bit of Shimmerz painting and masking. I used the Irresistible collection and decided to add some color to it. That is the fun part of a black and white collection...you can do so much with it, the possibilities are endless!

I painted the flower with some Marigold Shimmerz and Island Salsa Blingz. I have also done some masking with some Spun Sugar Dazzlerz in the background.

 

Once I started to paint I also painted the fussy cut hearts and added some splats and drips with the same paints. Shimmerz is perfect for adding color to all of your creations!

 

I adore this Authentique Collection...so so yummy!

Guest spot at Authentique Paper

Hi everyone! I am so thrilled that Authentique Paper has asked me to do a guest spot with their new releases! I am featured on their blog today, here is the link to the guest spot post.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Authentique family at CHA and they were just so much fun! Their booth was filled with such amazing inspiration pieces.  So today I have a layout and a tag to share with their amazing new collections. First up is an oversize tag done with the NEW Tradition collection! I just adore all the little fussy cut pieces in this collection.

 

Next I used the NEW Natural Collection…and this is definitely one of my favs from all the new CHA releases this year. The colors are so amazing.

 

This collection also comes with some fun element stickers which just make finishing off a project oh so easy! I tucked in a few flowers and chippys and some metal Flying Unicorn Adornment pieces.

Altered Clock - Sept Kit of the Month Off the Page Project - Flying Unicorn

HI everyone! I am back with my Off the Page project from the Flying Unicorn Sept Kit of the Month…weeeeeeee it’s a Timmys clock! I have wanted one of these for a while..love it!

 

I basically did a collage with some left over 7 Dots papers to cover the clock, oh yes and lots of gesso LOL! I then did some stamping to tie the papers together.

 

Next I used lots of yummy Shimmerz Texturez and mists to give it lots of texture.

 

The chippys are all from the Flying Unicorn store. A combo of Dusty Attic and Scrap FX ones. They are all finished with Shimmerz mists. The metal leaves are Flying Unicorn Adornments…LOVE them!

 

Lots of the flowers and resins were with the kit and the rest used is just from my leftovers and stash.
