June Challenge Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! For this months challenge at Creative Embellishments, I used one of the Large chippy tags, and lots of Creative Embellishments stamps.

 

 

I also used that very cool Moon Stars chippy to fit the challenge.

 

 

I finished it off with tucked some pieces from Flourish Set 10 in the cluster. All mediums are from 13 Arts!

Rusty Powder Effect - 13 Arts

Hello 13@rts Fans!!  There are some new Rusty Effect products available now and they are so much fun to play with!!! I have never done a rusty project before but I can tell I will be LOTS more in the future with these amazing rusty products!! I created this fun tag.

 
The large chpboard tag from Creative Embellishments is first covered with gesso and I used the “My Letters” stencil with modeling paste on the background. Once that was dry sprinkling on Black Duo Rainbow powder, misted with water to get this fun background finished off. Next I used the yummy new Bronze Patina mist to cover the center piece on the tag.

 
The rusty bronze effect powder is heavy and I applied it with gel medium. I sprayed it with vinegar to activate the rusting process…and it was fast. After it was all dry I added a bit of Mermaid Tail paint to the pieces and added a title finished with black gesso

Beautiful - May LE Kit My Creative Scrapbook

Hi everyone! I am back with another share from the yummy MayLimited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook….so many pretty things to play with in this kit!

 
I used the fun stencil and distress inks, and the kit stamp in the background of layered papers from the kit.

 
Pretty kit embellishments and some 13 Arts mediums and beads to finish it all off.

Pictorial May Limited Edition Kit My Creative Scrapbook

Hi everyone!  Today I have a pictorial share created with the yummy May Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook! A page duo from an album I created.

 
First I started with the pretty Prima papers and layered them on the album pages.  I used the pretty lace in the kit down the center.

 
I cut out some tags from the kit papers, distressed and inked the edges. I also used a paper doily and some gauze.

 
I added these layers together with some twine.

 
Next I used some 13 Arts modeling paste and the stencil in the kit.

 
Add your photos and brush some distress ink on the stencilled area.
 

Last I added a few of the flowers and some beads to finish the pages off.

Tag Set - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a mixed media tag set created with CE stamps and chippys.

 
In the background I used the Distressed Checkered and Distressed Chevron Stamps. Two of my favourite stamps to used on mixed media backgrounds. I love the layers they add with little dimension.

 
I used pieces from the Flourish Set 14 in the center clusters on the tags. I used embossing ink to finish them.

 
To complete the tags I used pieces from the Small Sentiments Words set with 13 Arts black gesso.

Flourish Set 14

Just the Girls - 13 Arts

Hello 13Arts fans! Today I have a fun mixed media layout to share. I always love the look of a bold color with black contrast, so decided to step outside of safely zone and give it a try…and I love it! I started with papers from the beautiful Vintage Moments Collection and covered my base piece with Clear Gesso. This will protect the papers from the mediums I will use.

 
Next I did some stencil work in the background with the Greeting and Tattered Grid Masks and some Modeling Paste. Then I added layers of lace trims and some 13 Arts chipboard pieces. The NEW Watercolor set was perfect to add some bold colors…I went with the bold purple colors and soft browns.

 
I love the stickers and Film Transparent butterflies…they look perfect here. I also added splashes of Black Gesso to finish off the layout.

 
I also used the Watercolors to color the pretty 13 Arts Flowers! Some Gel Medium and 3D balls to finish off this lovely cluster!

Children are Like Flowers - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a mixed media layout to share, created with LOTS of Creative Embellshmets pieces!! To start I did lots of stamping in the background and of course used my fav Distressed Text Stamp from CE! The chippy are all just simply finished with a coat of 13 Arts gesso. The papers are Until Dawn from 13 Arts. I also used a couple of 13 Arts stencils in the background.

 
I love the chippy keys and tucked in a couple on this layout in the clusters. 

I also tucked in pieces from Flourish Set 27 and some of the Layered Wings. 

Another cute chipboard key, flourish piece, a chippy heart and a flair from the Shine Flair Gold set. 

A couple more close-ups where you can see pieces from the Moroccan Lattice and Punchinella Panels. These panels are super fun to cut up and use as background layers. I finished it all off with some slashes of gold paint from 13 Arts.
