Selfie - Creative Embellishments March Challenge

 

Hi everyone! The March challenge is up on the Creative Embellishments bog and I have used the inspiration photo and created a layout for the challenge this month. Olaf is such a poser and loves his selfies hehe.  The beautiful papers and flowers are from 49 and Market and Gesso, Molding paste, beads from 13 Arts!

 

I framed the photo with pieces from the chippy doily and Flourish Set 26.

 

The title piece is from the Selfie Word Set.

Family Canvas - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a mixed media canvas to share…and no flowers..that was a challenge, hehe. I used the 13arts challenge as inspiration for this piece.  

 

I did lots of stamping in the background with the Distressed Text and Checkered stamps. The chippys are all finished with gesso and some 13arts paints, molding paste, mists and beads to finish them off.

I cut the Window Shutter and Washi Tape Cluster chippys and used them in a few places on the canvas. I also used the Grunge Square Frame behind the photos. All super fun chippys to play with!!! The 13arts paint looks like molten lava....love it!   

The title piece is from the Small Family Border Word Set.

Cherish - My Creative Scrapbook February Limited Edition Kit

Hi everyone! I am back with another share from the February Limited Edition Kit at My Creative Scrapbook! This kit is a combination of G45 and 49 and Market papers with LOTS of extras to complete your projects!

 
This layout was created with the 49 and Market papers in the kit, and an adorable photo of grand daughter from a few years ago.
 


 
I even used the flower packaging behind my photo on this layout…..too pretty not to use.

 
I used the stencil in the kit and look at those pretty flowers!

G45 Cards Feb LE Kit My Creative Scrapbook

Hi everyone! My tutorial today is more of a “tip”. I used the FEB Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook for these cards.  I find that when I work with heavy pattered papers such as the G45 papers in the kit they tend to wash together. SO…I love to separate the layers and different papers with either Black, White or natural cardstock.  

 

I even used the stickers in the kit this way. Just I just stuck them onto the black cardstock and cut them out.

 

I find that the black especially separates the patterns on the papers!! I also used some cardboard behind some of the pieces to make them pop up.

 

A few more pics of the inside of my cards with layers of darker cardstock under the G45 papers. G45 is always perfect to decorate the inside of cards!!!

Adore - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a layout to share that has lots of Creative Embellishments chippys on it…and I have left them all natural…I love that look! My papers and flowers are from 49 and Market. The photo is me and Olaf.

I started with some stamping in the background with the Distressed Text Stamp.

The Lace Border and Flourish Page Corners were perfect to bring focus to the photo on the page.

I used an Infinite Rectangle Frame behind the photo and finished it off with a sentiment from the Small Family Border Word Set.

Sand and Sea Collection - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market fans!! I am back today with a fun mixed media Beach Themed layout…created with the gorgeous Sand and Sea Collection!!! I am done with the cold, snowy winter here and ready for sun and beaches!

The papers used from the collection are Seafoam and In the Bluff. I have torn and distressed layers of the papers to start creating my background. Once the background papers were together I stamped around the edges with a piece from Gabi’s Line Stitch Stamp Set.

The beautiful flower clusters are a mix of Teal Roses, Mudslide Floral Mixology, a Sage Vintage Shades, Seaside Blooms and Garden Seeds. What a fabulous cluster with a few seashells, starfish, beads and glitter to finish it off. I also tucked in pieces from the Sand and Sea Layered Embellishments, and some Jute Cording!
