September KOM – “Vintage Harmony” CT Flying Unicorn Part 2

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I have 2 layouts to show you from the gorgeous September KOM – “Vintage Harmony” from the FlyingUnicorn. I love the Kaisercraft Miss Match collection…so versatile for boy or girl layouts. Today I have my 2 boyish layouts to show you.

The first one is called treasure and this is my hubby and grandson…look matching Tee’s…too cute huh! Hahaha. Lots of distressing, stamping with gesso and random machine stitching.

I love all the extras that come in the kit…just makes finishing off a layout so easy.

The rosettes are also in the kit, I have added in a couple of Dusty Attic chipppys and some burlap from the store.

When my daughter was visiting last month, we went to a goat farm for the day. All the goats want is food from ya LOL!

I did some masking on this one with gesso and molding paste and some distress inks.

TCR and CSI **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone! This month the Flying Unicorn is sponsoring the Color Room and today is the first reveal. The Creative Team will be participating though out the month with the gorgeous palettes. Here is this weeks palette and my layout. The palette includes a chevron this time and I actually made a chevron mask to use with some inks.  Lots of distressing, masking and punch work on this layout. I have used some Glitz papers and a few Dusty Attic chippy pieces. The little cutie pie is my grandson and he is being tickled by his dad in this photo.

Here are a couple of close-ups of some of the masking and goodies I used.

I also worked with this weeks case from CSI. Any challenge that encourages me to journal on my layouts is fabo in my books. I love journaling but always forget when things get so busy. I want to be able to look back in 10 years and know exactly what this layout is about. I have started with plain old white cardstock and just went from there to create the palette.

The Sceme: use all colors in the palette. Check.

The Evidence: I have used used some paint, hearts, wood, flowers and tilted my photo. Check.

Testimony: My journaling is documenting a summer event that happened just a couple of weeks ago. Case solved! hehe

September KOM – “Vintage Harmony” CT Flying Unicorn Part 1

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I have 2 layouts and my OTP project to show you from the gorgeous September KOM – “VintageHarmony” from the Flying Unicorn. I love the Kaisercraft Miss Match collection…so versatile for boy or girl layouts. Today I have my 2 girl layouts to show you. The first one I have done lots of distressing and inking on it. Also I white washed the background some with gesso and did some stamping on it.

The flowers in the kit are just the perfect colors for working with these papers…I also softened them a bit with some gesso.

I love all the cards and tags with the kit. Tuck them in here and there to finish it off.

My next girlie layout is called Dream and yepp…my grand daughter blowing bubbles again LOL. You can see one of my Jacks in the background…that is Emma. There is a wood looking stamp that comes in the kit and I have used it to create the lattice background.

I have punched the butterflies from the scraps that I had in the kit.

I tucked in some gauze and added some liquid pearls.

Ok so now the OTP project. I decided to make this cute house into a house warming gift box. I have covered it with some Pion papers that I had in my stash and added some flowers and gift tag and a big bow.

Here is the inside of the house….I have filled it with some candles for them as a gift. I think this is a cute House Warming Gift box.
