Beautiful **CT Flying Unicorn**

HI everyone and welcome to my blog!!! I have a layout to share today that I have done for inspiration at a Flying Unicorn challenge. I have used Magnolia papers and Petaloo flowers and chippy frames, they are all available at the Flying Unicorn store.

The Magnolia papers are just gorgeous, first time I have used them. They have a wonderful texture to them and distress beautifully. I did some masking with gesso and used a black pen to fill in the lines after it dried.

The frames are just painted with gesso and than I sprinkled some Stampendous shaved ice on them and put the heat gun to them. The shaved ice just sparkles!

I fussy cut some flowers from the Magnolia papers and added in a few Petaloo blooms to finish it off.

Well that is it for today. You can get all of these goodies at the Flying Unicorn store. I hope that everyone has a fabulous week !!! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

I have done some sloopy punchwork and distressed t he edges…sloopy is the only way I can describe it..but I like it LOL!

I also did some tea stained blobs and enjoyed a cup of tea while I made this LOL!

Well that is it for today. You can get all of these goodies at the Flying Unicorn store. I hope that everyone has a fabulous week and if you are celebrating also have a great Thanksgiving!!! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Sketchabilities and the Flying Unicorn

HI there and TGIF!!!!! And a long weekend too..yippeee it is Thanksgiving on Monday here in Canada and I must say I have lots to give thanks for. I have been very busy this past couple of months and have gotten behind on a couple of posts, so today I play catch up on one of them. The Flying Unicorn was sponsor for Sketchabilities and Cardabilities and these are the creations that I made for reveal days.

My first layout is made with Prima Almanac Collection and lots of Dusty Attic chippys..all available at the Flying Unicorn store.

The little hour glass and leaves are DA chippys and are just painted black. I have also done some stamping with a mask and gesso in the background.

The title piece and little heart are also from DA and I have used the same finish on them.

For this layout I have used the Prima Rondelle collection and again DA chippys, which I have left naked for this one.

I have done lots of distressing, used gesso to white wash the background and some paint splatters.

I also did one card for reveal day. Sorry the photo is a wee bit blurry, my bad J I used G45 Ladies Diary Collection for this one.

Well that is it for today. You can get all of these goodies at the Flying Unicorn store. I hope that everyone has a fabulous weekend and if you are celebrating also have a great Thanksgiving!!! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Flying Unicorn October Kit of Month – Journey in Time – Part 1

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I have 2 layouts to show you from the gorgeous October Kit of Month “Journey in Time”, from the Flying Unicorn. I love the Prima Craftsman collection and that is only part of the kit papers. They are so much fun to fussy cut and when you add in some of the cool add on pieces it just finishes off a layout perfectly. My first layout is called Summer Fun and I have done lots of masking, distressing and added lots of goodies. I love this photo of two of my grand kids…I have scrapped it before but Christmas is fast approaching and my kids all get albums for gifts.

One of the add ons comes with this fabulous mask from crafters workshop and I have done some in the background with molding paste and mists. The large gears are fussy cut from the collection papers and the smaller canvas gears are in the Embellishment add on.

The flowers are in the main kit and the Flower add on. The clock is fussy cut from the G45 papers in the Paper add on.

My next layout I have used the same collection from Prima. The photo is my grandson when we went to this historic steam mill last month. He got to ride in the lil car, with help of course, but that was so cool for him.

I used one of the new Prima masks from the Flying Unicorn store for the background. I brushed on some of the Pan Pastels from the Embellishment add on, first time I have used them and they are too cool!

Even these cute little gear rub ons come in the kit.

This kit always comes with an Off The Page project to do and this month I got the letters LOVE. I have covered them with Prima Romance Novel papers from the Flying Unicorn store.

I did lots of distressing on them and added in some flowers, ribbon and Dusty Attic chippys.

Well that it for today. I will be back in a couple of days with part 2 from this months kit.  Hurry on by the Flying Unicorn store to grab your kit …they go fast. Have a great week everyone!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping
