Grad Gift Bag and Tag - Petaloo DIY Flowers

Hello Petaloo Fans. Today I have a gift bag and little tag to share. I have used flowers from the Do It Yourself Textured Burlap and Canvas collection. These flowers are so much fun to alter and add to your projects!

 

I used some Shimmerz mists to alter the DIY flowers on this project…it is to easy, just mist to the color your choice! I love this big bow made from pieces of canvas from Canvas Corp, and some Petaloo Trims …then I just added the DIY flowers on top.

 

 

I used the same flowers on the cute little bag tag…Burlap Butterflies and Blossoms, and the Mixed Textured Layers. The layers are super fun too..you can build your own flowers and there are many sizes in the package.

Girly Grunge Card - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Shona here today with a large Card to share. As always I start off with using the CE Distressed Text Stamp in the background.

 

I just love the Bird Cage Set of chippys. All of my chippys today are just finished with a coat of gesso.

 

I finished off the card by adding in some chipboard Gears and some pieces from a Clock Face that I had leftover. These pieces definitely give this card a girly grunge look!

Petaloo / Canvas Corp Blog Hop

Hello Petaloo Fans and welcome to the Petaloo/Canvas Corp Blog Hop! I have chosen to do a 12 x 12 Canvas Corp Burlap Canvas…with Heritage photos of my dad. I find the earthy colors are perfect for a Heritage piece.

 

To start I did a bit of masking with a thick gesso on the Burlap Canvas. I also used a brush and added a bit of gesso around the border.

 

 

Next I added some splatters of the Mist and Gimmer Glam from Canvas Corp.

 

 

The DIY Sunflowers and Daisy Layers are also just misted. First I spray them with a bit of water so the color blends smoothly on the Petaloo DIY flowers. The Petaloo DIY flowers are so perfect…you can create what ever color  you like for your projects!

 

Behind the photos I added in a piece of darker canvas from Canvas Corp and a matting of paper from 7gypsies. The cute little cloths pins are also a Canvas Corp piece!  

 

 

To finish off the clusters I added in the DIY Burlap Pick and DIY Queen Annes Pick. I left those both white as I loved how they popped on the clusters.

Water Color Tags with Shimmerz

Hello Shimmerz fans! I had some fun creating these 3 water color tags. They are all created on water color paper and lot of Shimmerz for color!

 

 

 

First I added some texture to the watercolor papers by adding some trims and masking in the background. These really pop out when you start to add the Aqua Huez.

 

 

To add the water colors just add water to the little pods, paint them on, and mist with water to make the colors blend and bleed. Colors I used are: Blue Me Away, Little Lily, Perfectly Purple, 14 Carrots and She Packs a Punch.

 

 

To finish them all off I added some Mandarin Mai Tai Coloringz to the main Petaloo flower and drops of Miner Miner Inklingz everywhere.

Memories - Creative Embellishments and Flying Unicorn June Kit

Hi everyone! Today I have a layout to share. I have used my June kit from the Flying Unicorn and added in some gorgeous chippys to finish it all off! I love this photo of my hubby and 2 grandsons.

 

 

I used the Distressed Text Stamp in the background first.

 

 

The photo is framed with the Feeling the Love Frame. I left all the chippys naked and added a few beads to them.

 

 

The title if from the Treasure Border Word Set…I just love these big border titles!

Dream - Flying Unicorn June Kit

Hi everyone! I am back with another layout from the gorgeous Flying Unicorn June Kit! I had fun with this layout of my sweet Grand daughter.

 

 

I did a little bit of masking in the background and used the fun brick stamp in the kit!

 

The flowers and embellishments in the kit are gorgeous additions.

 

 

Love the cute little metal pieces and adhesive beads.

Style - June Challenge Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Summer is here and a new month means a new Challenge at Creative Embellishments! Its so easy to play along, just be inspired by one thing in the photo and this month add a bit of mixed media.

 

 

 

I added some chippy Butterflys in with the clusters.

 

 

You can see the mixed media in the background.some stamping with the Distressed Text Stamp and just a wee bit of masking with molding paste and some Shimmerz splatters. I tucked in a piece from the Flourish Set 5 here.

 

 

The little title chippy is from the Word Hanger Set and I just trimmed it to fit on the photo.
