Spring Tag with Shimmerz

Hello Shimmerz fans!! In celebration of Spring time I have created two fun tags. Teals and browns are my fav color combo to play with! The pretty papers and flowers I used are from 49 and Market

I added one of my favorties to add some color to these tags…Well Blow Me Down Coloringz. It was perfect to add that special pop of color.

For the Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces I painted them with gesso first, than added Puttin on the Glitz Paste-eez to add that shimmer to them. I also used the same Paste-eez to add of the small bead textures. Paste-eez is one of my new favs to play with!

Once everything was finished I had to added some slatters of Penny For Your Thoughts Inklingz and a shot of Vibez Egg Noggin to make everything shimmer….look at that pretty butterfly shine!

My Creative Scrapbook April LE Kit - Layout with Layers

Hi everyone! It is time for the April Reveal of the My Creative Scrapbook kits!! Always exciting to see the kits they create each month. All are loaded with everything you need to create many gorgeous pieces. Here is a peek at the yummy Limited kit that I created with this month.....its truly beautiful! 

This is my first layout and I am going to share with you how I created some layers on this layout. Layers to me add so much extra and dimension to your projects. Yet they do not have to be thick layers to do so. I do not like my layouts to be too thick as I still like to put them into albums. So let’s get started!

 

First I did the background layers. I tear off pieces and on some I distressed the edges to curl them a bit, and on the other I used a punch on the edges. Just tuck in some of the torn pieces to give you a few layers in the background.

 

Next I used the stencil and the stamps included in the kit and added more layers with them. Remember…so far these are all flat layers, so no worries on a thick layout.

 To mat the photo I used some of the coordinating cards and some cut out pieces from the kit. I did add a piece of cardboard from the kit box behind the photo to make it pop up a bit.

Add your photo to the background now. I also added some twine and the letters and ribbon from the kit here.

Lastly just add your embellishments. Now you have many layers and each one adds depth, detail and dimension to your creation. A few close ups of the finished layout.

Enchanting - 40 and Market

Hello 49 and Market fans!! Have you seen the gorgeous new Scents of Nature collection yet? I just love it and it screams Spring to me!!! You can also get it in a 6x6 Collection pack…which I have used in the background to mat my photo. The beautiful 12x12 piece is called “Hold On Me”. I love all of the details on this piece.

 

Look at that gorgeous paper in the background…love it! For the background I also did lots of stamping with Gabi’s Ethereal Stamp Set. This stamp set is so versatile and there are so many stamps to use in it. The chipboard pieces are from Creative Embellishments.

I used lots of 49 and Market blooms around the photo to bring it as the focal point on this layout. I started with a Pale Lavender Garden Vine. I then tucked in pieces from the Green Multi Blooms Pack, and white and green roses as filler.

 

Another big MUST HAVE that is new…. Wings and Things Layered Embellishments. This package is loaded with lots of fun dimensional embellishments to add to your projects. Here I have used some lovely branch pieces and look at that adorable butterfly. These are super fun and already have sticky pop up darts on the back for easy use. I finished everything off with little splashes of Shimmerz Inklingz.

49 and Market NEW Looking Through Collection

Hello 49 and Market fans!! Today I have 2 cards and 2 tags created with the gorgeous NEW Looking Through Collection! The colors and details with this collection are so yummy!

 

For the two cards I used Looking Through – Lilac sheet. There was enough paper on the one sheet to create 2 layers for each card.

The beautiful flowers are Shimmer and Shine – Lilac Melange and pieces from the Garden Bloom – Alabaster pack. I just love the shimmer on these flowers! And look at those cute buds!!!!!

I also embellished all cards and tags with one of Gabi’s NEW Stencils, and prills from the Scrapbook Diary store.

For the Tag set I used the Vines sheet from the Looking Through Collection.

I used the same flowers as I did on the cards, Shimmer and Shine Lilac Melange and Alabaster Garden Blooms.

Look at the details on the collection papers…those fairies are amazing!

April Challenge - Creative Embellishments

 

Hi everyone and happy March…yippee it is finally Spring time where I live!! With Spring in mind I created a fun card and tag set for the NEW April Challenge At Creative Emblellishment!  The paper I have used are the gorgeous Heirloom Botanicals Collection from 49 and Market.

 

 I think it they have a fresh Spring look to them! I used the amazing Distressed Text Stamp in the background first.

 

The focal point of each piece is the fun NEW CircleDoodle Frames and I tucked in some pieces from Flourish Set 10.

 

To finish them off I added a piece from the Small Sentiments Word Set.
