Family **SOUS**

HI everyone and TGIF….yippee it is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches! The sketch is amazing and by our very own Leah. Also the Flying Unicorn is a sponsor this month at CSI and I have used this sketch and the gorgeous November kit of the month to complete this weeks case file. The photo is my daughter and her family last month...they have since had a beautiful baby boy to add to their little family.

I love all the tags and pieces that can be fussy cut with this kit. I have done lots of distressing and added slashes of gesso here and there.

To solve the CSI case I have added some buttons and silver metal accents, and inspiration words for my journaling.

Well that is it for today. Come on over to the Stuck on USketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Flying Unicorn November Kit – Solace for the Heart part 2

Hi everyone and welcome! Today I have 2 more layouts that I have created with the Flying Unicorn November Kit of the Month “Solace for the Heart”.  This kit is just so shabbylicious and I enjoyed every minute creating with it.

For both of these layouts I have used the Teresa Collins collection in the kit and add ons. The first one is called Charming and I have done lots of distressing, some masking, some stamping and added lots of kit goodies.

I have used a Prima Vine that I hacked up into two pieces for the layout and tucked in some Dusty Attic chicken wire which is from the Flying Unicorn store.

This collection comes with some fun flower petals and strips that I attached with pop ups for dimension.

I also did some machine stitching and added some bulap pieces that come in the kit.

My next layout is called Memories and I did it for Tammy’s Challenge at the Flying Unicorn. Lots of masking and background work on this one.

For the white plaster leaves I have used a mold and plaster that comes in the kit.

Here you can see the background masking and the chippy is from Dusty Attic. I covered it with gesso and added some Stampendous Embossing Enamel to finish it off.. also available in the store.

Well that is it for today. I hope that you all have a fabulous week. Don’t forget to stop by the Flying Unicorn store for all your scrappy needs!

Dr. Anne Carlsen, our namesake and former administrator, believed in the worth of every individual. Throughout her life she exemplified strength and nurturing, advocating for individuals with disabilities, and teaching them how to advocate for themselves, while creating a life of independence.

The Anne Carlsen Center offers a rich tradition of educational, residential, therapeutic, evaluation, and community-based services. Our individualized services include care for individuals — and families — of all ages with cerebral palsy; orthopedic, vision and hearing disabilities; autism, pervasive, and other behavior disorders; and other medical acuities.

The Center’s education program provides students with a safe, secure and loving atmosphere in which they can learn and grow. The Center is approved and accredited through the ND Dept of Public Instruction as a K-12 school.

The Student Council consists of a team of Anne Carlsen students dedicated to helping their fellow peers, classmates and friends. Student Council fund raises throughout the year to help students pay for necessities such as clothing, shoes, winter gear, school supplies or other needs they may not have the funds to cover for themselves. Fundraising also provides a yearbook at no cost to each and every student at the Anne Carlsen Center.

Fabscraps Marie Antoinette Collection

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I have 2 new layouts that I have created with the yummy Fabscraps Marie Antoinette Collection. This collection is so delicate and delicious! My first layout is called “Shining Star” and this is my adorable grand daughter. I got inspiration from a fellow scrapper Marilyn Rivera for this layout …she is a super talented lady and you can find her blog here. There is lots of punch work, distressing and inking on this layout.

I have used the collection feather chippys as leaves and tucked them into the flower clusters.  Paint the chippy feathers with white gesso and spray with some glimmer mists. After this dried I added some clear crackle paint to them. I also tucked in some of the Metal Fabscraps Embellishments.

The butterflies are punched from the scraps…gotta use up all those tiny yummy pieces, hehe! Add some flowers, bows and paint spatters and you are done.

My next layout is called “Flower Girl” and this is my cutie pie niece. The hearts and banners are all fussy cut from the collection papers.

For the hearts I fussy cut them, inked the edges and added some pop up adhesives and gauze between the layers. I have finished them off with some twine bows and some Metal Fabscraps Embellishments.

This collection comes with so many gorgeous chipboard pieces and I have used the title and feathers on this one. The title is just painted with gesso and I added some glimmer mist.

One last close up of the feathers used as leaves in my flower cluster.

I also created one more layout earlier this month with this collection for a reveal at The Color Room. The title and frame are from the collection chippys and I did lots of background masking on this one.

Thanks for stopping by today, make sure to stop by Fabscrpas  Facebook page and show us what you are creating. Have a fantastic week! Take care and happy scrapping!
