Happy Sunday everyone! Thanks to all my lovely followers that have left me comments on my last few posts J. Today I have a little thank you card that I made using the sketch over at BoBunny and this weeks palette at The Color Room.

I used the BoBunny Etc collection for this. I love the cute embellishments that come with that collection, and added one of the metal pieces the rosette that I made.

I finished it off with some hemp twine bows, some vintage seem binding ribbon and a yummy piece of Dusty Attic.

Ok well that is it for today. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Pumpkin Patch **SOUS**

TGIF!!!!! I love Fridays, especially when it’s a day off….woo hooooo!  Ok so on with my layout….it is reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and this weeks sketch was designed by our lovely Designer/co-creator Nanne.  I used Glitz and My Minds Eye papers from my November Scrap That! kit and I did some masking in the back ground. I made all the larger orange flowers from the Glitz papers. The photo is my cutie patutie grandson at the pumpkin patch.

Check out this Dusty Attic chippy…so much fun and perfect for this layout. I painted it and used some rock candy crackle paint and smooth paints on it.

Here is a close up of some of my flowers and the masking.

I tucked in some Prima tiny flowers with my bigger ones here and stole gauze from my hubbys first aid box for the fibre LOL!  He is not going to be happy if he needs his gauze…maybe I will put a sanitary pad in there in case he needs it hahaha!  Can ya just see the look on his face that day..hehe..wait until I start to raid his shop for cool things to go on a grungy layout J

Ok well that is it for today. Don’t forget to head on over to SOUS for tonnes of inspiration, come and play with us and you have a chance at a gorgeous prize. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Hi everyone and welcome, I have a layout today for palette #84 at The Color Room. I am a RDA there this month and just loving it!!! I am actually working on a card for this palette too and will show it in a couple of days. Here is this weeks gorgeous palette and my layout for the reveal. The photo is my grandson and his little buddy…they are so cute J

I used papers from BoBunny and Prima and lots of goodies on this one. In this close up you can see how I used the chippy as a mask when I misted it.

Here is the chippy after I finished it. It is painted and then inked and misted. I did some stamping on it also.

A couple more close ups.

A Special Day

Hi and Happy Sunday everyone! We had a time change last night…and silly me I forgot so I got up an HOUR earlier than I needed to today!!! BOOO and I wanted to sleep in too LOL! I can not believe how fast Christmas is going to be coming now…and I have so many projects to finish up as gifts. Included this layout…I am making a wedding album as a gift and that is why you are seeing so many wedding photos lately..hehe…but I am almost done. I used the Prima BAP sketch for this layout and lots of Prima goodies. I did lots of distressing, punching and the leaves are cut with my cricut.

I added liquid pearls to all the flower centers on the punched area also to the Dusty Attic border piece. The metal gate is from Prima and I also tucked in a little Prima metal heart in t he flower cluster.

I had a hate on for the Prima Rub Ons a couple of weeks ago…they always looked like crap after I applied them…but I think I have the hang of them, and I really like them now. I might even buy more of them LOL!

Ok well that is it for today. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Right now Dusty Attic is the sponsor, and who does not want to win some of those gorgeous chippys! This weeks palette #83 is from the Sun Room and it is gorgeous.

For my layout I used a lot of new Prima papers and goodies. Lots of distressing I did some masking and used some Gesso on the back ground. The photo is my grand daughter.

The Dusty Attic scroll in the top corner is misted, painted and I added some gems to it.

In the other corner is the same smaller scroll and you can see the Prima goodies and the back ground.

Just a couple of more close ups of the DA fence piece and the flower clusters. I tucked in one of the new Shabby Chic bird cages from Prima. I think my GD had just eaten a big juicy peach and it is all over her face J

Why I Scrap

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Wow it is Thursday already, where has this week gone! Just a quick post today to show you my layout for the challenge at Once Upon a Sketch. You have to journal about why and when you started to scrap, mine is written on the tag. I used one of the new gorgeous collections from Glitz for this layout. I did lots of sewing and distressing, used more goodies from my stash and a gorgeous stick pin from Angelica’s esty.  I am pretty proud of the journaling here…I usually cant come up with a title let alone journal J

In this close up you can see the large pink flower that I made. There is sewing around the outside and also on the two photo mats. I tucked a DA gate in the flower cluster and some Glitz papers behind the photo.

Here is a close up of the journaling tag that I made, and the gorgeous stick pin. The chippy words are also from DA.

Two more chippy words and you can see the punch work. I added liquid pearls here and there to finish the layout.

Ok well that is it for today.  I will be back tomorrow with my reveal from The Color Room.   Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

A Wink & a Smile * TCR *

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE SCRAP THAT! BLOG HOP GO HERE!

Happy Sunday everyone! It is just a gorgeous Fall day here in BC! The leaves have all turned colors now and it is beautiful…as long as you do not look at the mountains because there is snow on them already EWWWW! <<not a big fan of winter here J
Ok so on with my layout for today…this was made for this weeks reveal at The Color Room. I am loving being invited as a RDA there this month. Everyone is so nice and very helpful there…just a really great bunch of talented women. The photo is two of my grand kids this summer. I did lots of masking with a brick mask, distressed all the layers and used lots of stash flowers. The pink and grey flowers I made. The material I used is hand dyed silk. It is a salt technique that I learned years ago.

In this close up you can see the brick masking and then another gate mask over top of it.

I love the little flower cluster in this corner. There is one of my silk flowers. The leaves are chippys from Dusty Attic and I just colored them to match the palette.

The next two close ups are of the large flower cluster.

Ok well that is it for today. If you want tonnes of inspiration come on by TCR, each week there is a new gorgeous palette to play with. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Scrap That! November “Putting on the Glitz” Kit BLOG HOP!

Hi everyone and TGIF! Welcome to the Scrap That! November reveal blog hop!!

If you have just arrived here from Robin’s blog you are in the correct place!  If not, head back to the Scrap That! blog for the blog hop order and links.

Today I’m going to share with you my projects using the Scrap That! Putting on the Glitz” Kit featuring Glitz Vintage Blue.  This kit is so YUMMY and the embellishments go perfectly with the gorgeous Glitz papers. I can not lie..I love these papers so much that I got the paper add on too. So I have lots of projects and so many more to show in the future. I used the kit sketch as a starting point on 4 of my layouts.

ADORE. The photo is my son and grand daughter. I used the MME papers as the top on this layout and did a lot of fussy cutting.

Here are a couple of close ups of the embellishments in the kit and I made the larger flowers from kit papers.

For my next layout, also using the sketch, I used lots of gorgeous Glitz papers and lots of goodies from the embellishment add on kit. The photo is my daughters and DH at Nanoose Bay earlier this month.

Here are some close up of the gorgeous flowers and I added some Dusty Attic sea shells.

TIP: for added texture I tucked in some pieces of gauze (which I stole from my hubbys first aid kit). I also misted the DA pieces on the paper so the shells are masked in the back ground.

FANTASTIC FIRSTS. This photo was taken this month, my grandson on his first pumpkin patch tour. He had so much fun. This is also based on this months sketch and I added lots of extra layers of goodies.

In this close up you can see the bright masking that I did in the background. I fussy cut the birds from the Glitz paper layers and added some gauze for texture.

I made all of the orange flowers on this layout from kit papers and added more Dusty Attic leaves around them. The Prima resin shutters also come in this months embellishment kit.

A DAY TO REMEMBER…my niece this summer getting married..what a beauty she was that day too! I also used the sketch but added in back ground layers.

The title is just a sticker from my stash as well as the velume quote. I added some liquid pearls just for a little soft touch, and punched some butterflies from the Glitz papers.

These 3 close ups are of the flower cluster area. The vine was fussy cut from one of the Glitz papers and then I added some flowers to it.

My cutie patutie grandson..awwwww J This one is called NATURE and I had fun doing lots of brick masking in the background.

I did some fussy cutting and added lots of pop ups for dimension. The leaves are from Dusty Attic and you can find them in the Scrap That! store.

I also made a quick little Halloween Card for a friend. The pumpkin graphic is a printable from  here.
