Card and Tag Set - Flying Unicorn April Kit

Hi everyone! I am back with yet another share from the gorgeous Flying Unicorn April kit…featuring the Tales of You and Me Prima Collection. Wow this kit is jammed packed, I have created so much with it!  

 

I added some Shimmerz Coloringz and Inklingz to the background and flowers…I love how you can use some mixed media to color coordinate your embellishments!

Off the Page Project - Flying Unicorn April kit

Hi everyone! Each month the Flying Unicorn kit comes with a fun off the page project to play with…always a fun change for me to play with something different. This month it is a metal holder that you get to alter. I decided to make mine a paint brush holder for my desk…in a beach theme. I love Beach themes, I think it’s the colors are so pleasing to me.

 

 

I added lots of pretty Petaloo flowers and burlap trims on the holder.

 

 

Add in a few sea shells with some Shimmerz Inklingz on them to finish it all off.

Life is Better At The Beach - Riddersholm

Hi everyone! Today I am up on the Riddersholm Blog with a fun mixed media beach layout featuring the gorgeous Newport Collection. I am totally in love with this collection!

 

I tore pieces for the background and fussy cut some of the pieces from the tag/title pages from Riddersholm.

 

 

Add in some pretty shells, flowers and trims and you are done!

Love - Creative Embellishments and CSI

Hi everyone! Creative Embellishments are guests at CSI challenge site this month and I am playing with case file 196. What a fun color palette to play with and anything that will make me journal a bit is a bonus!

 

 

I definitely had to dig into my paper stash to come up with the colors to go with this case file! I tucked in some different size gear chippys in with my clusters.

 

 

 

Don’t you just love the new title Border sets and this title is from the Joy set! The chipboard pieces are all finished with a coat of gesso and some Shimmerz Inklingz to finish them off.

This is Two - Shimmerz

Hello Shimmerz fans! Wow it is April already! So excited for Spring…it makes me want to add some fun Shimmerz Color to my projects! Today I have a layout to share. I used the Flying Unicorn April kit and added in some yummy Shimmerz color.

 

 

 

After I had my layout created I start to add color. First I used some Blue Me Away Aqua Huez behind the clusters to create a shaded look.

 

 

Next I added some Coloringz in Punked Up Purple and some Valentino drips.

 

 

I finished it all off with some splats of Penny for Your Thoughts and Giddy About Green Inklingz. Such a fun color combo!

Spring with Petaloo

Hello Petaloo Fans! It is Spring in Canada and today I have a layout to celebrate the arrival of Spring. There is nothing like finally going out for a walk as the weather gets warmer. I have used papers from my April Flying Unicorn kit and lots of yummy Petaloo Blooms and trims to finish it all off.  

 

My clusters are a variety of Petaloo flowers. Pieces from the Penny Lane Mixed Blossoms and Mini Daisys with a few Chantilly Hydrangeas and pieces from a Berry Spray. The center piece flowers are from the Burlap Ivory set…the details on them are amazing!

 

Look at those gorgeous flowers…what a beautiful mix! I also added pieces of lace from the Fancy Trims Cream set.

April Challenge - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! A new month means a new Challenge at Creative Embellishments! The inspiration photo for this month is musical and to use a song as a title…I went with Adelle’s Hello with a beach themed card. Creative Embellishments has so many Nautical themed chippys to choose from. They add the perfect touch to my Nautical card. The papers are from Prima and the pretty flowers are Petaloo, from the Flying Unicorn store.

 

 

I tucked in pieces from the Sea Weed 2 set and added in a Nautical Compass to finish it all off. The chippys are finished with a coat of gesso and some added Shimmerz mist for a touch of color. I also used the Distressed Text Stamp on the background for added texture.
