Believe - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a mixed media layout to share featuring lots of Creative Embellishments goodies. The photo is me on a bike tour in the Kettle Valley Tressle Rail Trails. Beautiful area to bike in and I took lots of photos. The papers and flowers are from Prima Archivist and Timeless Memories collection and are available at the Flying Unicorn store.

 

 

As always I have used the Distressed Text stamp in the background and actually used just the edges of it to highlight the corners of the layout. Tips like that are great when you use a plain cardstock as I did on top. You can also see on the top the title piece…that is from the Inspire WordSet. I am in love with all of the chippy word sets.

 

 

I have tucked pieces of the NEW Flourish Set 27 in with the clusters…they are so detailed and beautiful.  All of the chippys are just finished with touches of gesso.

Canvas Fun with Shimmerz

Hello Shimmerz Fans and happy Friday! Today I have a bright Shimmerz canvas to share. I went with bright and fun colors on this one…reminds me of Summer.

The background is a combo of Peachy Keen and Mandarin Mai Tai Coloringz with a touch of Chick a Dee Spritz. The three colors blend beautifuly in the background.

I did some masking in the background next, with Spun Sugar and Licorice Stick Dazzlerz. The Dazzlerz are so creamy and thick and perfect for your stencil fun!

Lastly I finished it off with little splashes of Inklingz! My bright fun Summer canvas!

Playdate Thrusday at the Flying Unicorn

Hi everyone! It is Playdate Thursday at the Flying Unicorn and I will show you how I created all the butterflies on my creations with this months Kits.

 

I just used some of the scrap papers left over and one of the new Prima Finnabair stamps. There are a couple of different ones in the Flying Unicorn store.

 

Just stamp the image and fussy cut it out.

 

I use a thin paint brush handle to curl the edges some and a pop up to adhere it to my project…this gives it a wee bit of dimension.

 

Super simple and another great way to use your stamps!

Shine Inside & Outside - Shimmerz and the Flying Unicorn

Hello Shimmerz Fans! Today I have a layout to share that I made with my Flying Unicorn June kit and LOTS of yummy Shimmerz products! The photo is my cutie pie grand daughter being silly.

 

 

I used some Spun Sugar Dazzlerz for the masking in the background. Dazzlerz are Perfect for masking!

 

Next I added splashes and drips of Oh Can U Sea Coloringz. This is a favortie color of mine and added some delicious deep color to the background.

 

To finish is all off I added drops of three colors of Inklingz. Brass Knuckles, Sun Kissed and Freshly Minted. These three colors added my finishing touches and splashes of color here and there!

Playdate Thursday at the Flying Unicorn

Hi everyone! It is Playdate Thursday at the Flying Unicorn and today I have a really fast and easy chipboard treatment to share. I love all the new beads in the Flying Unicorn store and they add so much texture to the chippys.  

 

 

I covered a Creative Embellishment chippy piece with a thick coat of gesso.

 

While wet I poured some Prima Micro beads in silver on it and heat set it.

 

Lastly I just added little touches of gesso with my finger and left some of the silver peaking out on the chippy. Easy and fun!

 

Here is a little peak of an upcoming project with this chippy on it.

Card and Tag Set for Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Wow have  you seen all the new chippys in the Creative Embellishments store! I am loving them! I recently got the new Square Mini Frames and thought those would be so cute and perfect on a card and tag set.

 

After I had my layers of paper on the background I added some stamping and the Distressed Text Stamp on the backgrounds. This stamp is a personal fav of mine and I use it on almost all of my creations! I also tucked in some Flying Unicorn Venice Lace and Metal pieces from the Flying Unicorn store.

  

 

Next came the top layers and that is where I have used a Square Mini Frame on each of the card and tag.

 

 

The chippys are finished with a coat of gesso and after that dried a light misting of Shimmerz.

Flying Unicorn June Your Passion Your Art KOM part 3

Hi everyone! I am back with more shares from my kit! I created so many fun things with this months kit! Each month the kit comes with a super fun Off The Page item to play with…and this months OTP is a cute little Light House for you to alter. I first covered mine with a layer of gesso and than added some Prima Seashore papers to the sides.

 

I added a few stash flowers, shells, Flying Unicorn metal adornments and some of the amazing beads in the kits. I also added some twine, trims and touches of Shimmerz. I just love playing with these beads.

 

Here is a close up. This cute little piece is sitting on my shelf now.

Me & You - Creative Embellishments and the Flying Unicorn June Kit

Hi everyone! A new monthly challenge revealed on the Creative Embellishments Blog today! The inspiration photo to play with is just so cool and you can go so many different ways to play with it. I also created this layout with the June Your Passion Your Art kit from the Flying Unicorn.

 

 

 

I just adore the Distressed Text stamp from CE and I used it in the background.  One of my new fav chippys is the clock face..I  have cut mine into two pieces and placed them on the layout. The heart mask, flowers and other embellishments are all from the Flying Unicorn June kits.

 

This is the first time I have used the Bubble Panel chippy and I had fun tucking it in here and there…it just went with the whole theme of my layout.

 

One last closeup…I have added some of the texture beads and micas from the Flying Unicorn kit on top of the chippy circles.
