The compass is a chipboard piece that is part of the collection. I have used glimmer mists and glam on it and some of the collection papers to back it.

Some of the flowers are also in the collection and I have punched some out from t he papers. Add a few buttons and twine bows to finish them off.

This collection also comes with die cut tags and journal cards to use on your projects.

Remember When

TGIF! Yippee it is Friday…and today is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and another gorgeous original sketch! I have used papers from Songbird Prima collection and lots of goodies, all available at the Flying Unicorn store.  I have really tried to stick closer to the sketch than I normally do hehe…usually I start and wonder off in my own direction. I have done lots of inking, stamping and layers of cut tags on this layout. The photo is my daughter and son in law this month when we did a trip to the beach.

I am loving all the new Prima collections with the awesome coordinating embellishments. I have also added in a few pieces of Dusty Attic chipboard.

Here you can see all the punch work and stamping that I did around the edges. I love the corner chippys from DA. I have painted them white first, than added some glimmer mists and liquid pearls to them. I also added a hidden journaling tag to this layout.

Two more close-ups of the layers of tags.

Well that is it for today. Come on over to the Stuck on U Sketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Nature Canvas *CT Flying Unicorn – Fabscraps*

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Well I was at Michaels one day and of course I dragged my DH in too cause I had coupons LOL! Anyways…he finds this box shadow frame for a steal of a deal and gets it while he is there….but it was 11X14 inch frame? So just by fluke I had a couple of canvas’s at home that are the same size yippee! So I sat down with my canvas and lots of goodies and started. First off I altered the photo of my grandson to look canvas also. I have done lots of masking with molding paste, mists and gesso. The papers and chippys are all Fabscraps and you can get them at the Flying Unicorn store.

For the top corner I have used a Prima mask and molding paste. Once that dried I added some mists to it.

The fence and bird on a swirl are also chippys from Fabscraps. I have made all the rosette flowers by hand with Fabscraps papers and added some buttons and twine to them.

I added some metal trinkets in with this cluster and you can see more molding paste on the bottom. It is a bird but kind of hard to see at t his angle.

Well that is it for today! I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

All A Flutter - SOUS

TGIF! Yippee it is Friday…and today is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and the gorgeous sketch is by Debbie Burns. I have used papers from Prima, Manor House Flowers and lots of Dusty Attic Chippys, all available at the FlyingUnicorn store.  I have done lots of distressing, inking and layers on this layout. The photo is my grand daughter being silly and hamming it up for the camera.

Here is a close up of the yummy flowers and the cute little mushroom chippys. I finally got a couple of Spellbinders dies and cut out the leaves and a couple of doilys from the paper.

The title piece is also from Dusty Attic and I have first painted it white then added some glimmer mist to it.

Here you can see a close up of the layers of doilys and the DA frame. I added some mist and liquid pearls to the frame.

Home *Flying Unicorn - OUAS*

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a great Easter. I was away for a few days and just got back on Monday night and could not wait to get at some scrapping! LOL I think I was having withdrawals! This layout is done for CT work for the Flying Unicorn, using the new Prima Almanac collection and lots of goodies from the store there. I have also used this weeks sketch and them from Once Upon a Sketch. I had to journal about home. Well my home is pretty empty now with no more kiddys at home BUT it comes to life when they all come to visit me. The hidden journal tag says “Home is the best when all the kids and families come home to visit me”

The flowers and tags and chip board pieces are from Prima. The fence and bird cage chippies are from Imaginarium and the sign chippy is from Fabscraps. The chippys are all painted with black crackle paint and I have added some liquid pearls to them.

Lots of distressing and layers of goodies, and I finished it off with some twine bows.

Well that is it for today! I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

the Flying Unicorn April Kit “A Touch of Spring” Part 2

Hi everyone! Today I have Part 2 of my reveal for the Flying Unicorn April Kit “A Touch of Spring”. Seriously this kit is LOADED! Lets start off with the OTP project that comes in the kit. It’s a huge birdhouse. I have first painted it white then I have inked it, and used crackle rock candy on it. For the roof I have used my Prima brick stamp with gesso. My theme is kinda Fall/Halloween and I will put it out in the fall for a decoration.

I have used lots of Dusty Attic chippys on this. Some DA border pieces to cover all the roof gables. The little crows and the webs are all from Dusty Attic.

Remember that amazing sketch that I drew…well yepp 2 more layouts with it coming up now. For this one I have used papers from Ruby Rock-it, Fabscraps and Megs Garden. I have done lots of distressing and machine stitching on this one. The photo is me and my daughter…looks like we are boozing it up in Vegas LOL! Eeek I have a drink in each hand. LOL! I have also used some chippy vines and dress form from Dusty Attic and some liquid pearls to finish it off.

This layout is titled New Bike and look at that cool bike my grandson got from Aunty for his birthday….spoiled lil guy I tell ya! I have used more Glitz papers from the kit and see that cool fence…yepp in the kit too! The brickwork is done with my Prima brick stamp and gesso. The chippys are all from Dusty Attic and they are covered with lots of mists, glam and glaze. All from the Flying Unicorn store.

And for my last layout “A everyday kind of wonderful” I have used a mojo mnday sketch from the forums for this one. The papers are from Megs Garden and Ruby Rock-it. Lots of distressing and yummy layers.

Love the vintage buttons that Alda put in this kit. I added some twine bows to them. The Cameo is from one of the forum members Cathi O…thanks Cathi!

Ok well that is it for today. I hope that you all have a fantastic Easter Weekend!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
