1. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Why?
Well I would be white, because you can add other colors to white to get the one you want.

2. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Lets see…I love to take photos of my family but have very few of me. Always behind the camera. I am a wee bit shy until I know you than I am a bit of a comedian.

3. What 5 things are always on your crafting table?
Everything is on my table but if I were to clean it off I would leave on ink, distress tools, glue, cutting mat, scissors. LOL!

4. Your go-to embellishment is ...
            Chippys and Pretty flowers!!!

5. What is your all-time favorite crafting tool?
            Definitely my distress tools.

6. Tell us about your family .. first in one word. Then in a sentence or two.
Blessed! I have 3 kids and a great hubby. Five grand kids with another on the way. I love spending as much time as I can with my family. Oh yes and 4 Jack Russel dogsJ

7. What is your dream vacation?
I don’t know but I have thought about this. I think somewhere hot in the winter because where I live the winters can be pretty brutal. I would like to be a snowbird and fly south for the winters LOL!

8. Who is your favorite crafty company?
            Fabscraps and Dusty Attic!  hehe

9. Tell us a bit about your crafty style.
My style is shabby chic, I love to distress and ink. Masking is one of my favs as well. I do like to do the odd girly grunge project and always love to learn new techniques. OH and I always load up a layout, Sandi always teases me and says she has to search for the sketch in my layout…but it is there really! LOL!

10. Where do you live?
I live in beautiful British Columbia Canada. I am surrounded by huge mountains as I live close to the Rockies. Even on the hottest day in the summer you can see the Glaciers in the distance.

Hi everyone! Well I got two big boxes of goodies yesterday, one loaded with new Prima from the Flying Unicorn store and the other loaded with goodies from Fabscraps. YUMMY! Anyways, I could not wait to play with some of it and wanted to create something using this weeks palette from The Color Room and the March BAP Sketch from Prima. I was featured at TCR for my layout last week…FUN! Ok so on with my layout for today….using Prima Natures Garden. Lots of layers, inking, distressing and yummy Prima goodies, all from the Flying Unicorn store. The photo is my son and grand daughter. Couple of cutie pies hehe!

I love all the tags and chipboard pieces that come with this collection. It sure pulls a layout together.

I added some liquid pearls to the little banners under the photo.

Of course I had to use some Dusty Attic someone, it is a border scroll tucked in on each side of the photo.

Ok well that is it for today. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Hi everyone and TGIF!!!!! I have the day off so I have been working on my April kit and took a break to create this for a challenge at the Flying Unicorn. I had to pick a Rolling Stones song and use it as the title. Well looking through the song list I see Casino Boogie and immediately thought of this photo of my daughter and her hubby in Vegas. I have used one of the yummy 7 Dots collections, Petaloo flowers and a Dusty Attic chippy all from the Flying Unicorn store. I also used an older sketch from Sketchablities.

I have used the Birds on a Branch chippy from DA…for the two lovebirds in the photo LOL! Lots of distressing, inking and a couple of little banners as the title.

This 7 Dots collection has so many fun pieces and I have used lots of them on this layout.

Well that is it for today! I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Scrap Cake Party *CT Flying Unicorn*

Hi everyone, today and I have some layouts and one cards that I have created with three different collections from Scrap Cake. These collections are all so amazing and they are all available in the Flying Unicorn store.

Cody

This layout was created using the NEW One Moment in Time collection. I did lots of deep distressing, inking and some fussy cutting. All of the flowers are from the Flying Unicorn store and the chippys were in the Feb KOM. The photo is my grandson.

The larger flowers are Petaloo and the small rose buds are Flying Unicorn flowers. I tied some twine around the little tag that was in the Feb KOM. The leaves are fussy cut from the collection papers.

The chippys are just painted white and I added some liquid pearls to them. The twig heart is also from the Feb KOM. After I distressed the edges I used Vintage Photo Distress ink all around the edges.

Laughter & Smiles

This layout and card were both created with the The Bright Side of Life Collection. I did lots of punch work and fussy cutting on this one. I LOVE all the things that you can fussy cut with this collection. All of the flowers are from Manor House and they are so gorgeous.  I also tucked in some Dusty Attic chicken wire and finished it all off with some liquid pearls. Everything is available in from the Flying Unicorn store. The photo is 3 of my grandkids.

I cut lots of strips and inked them all and the leaves are fussy cut from the collection papers.

Close up of the yummy flowers from Manor House.

Happy Easter Card: This little card is also made with the same collection, lots of fussy cutting and flowers from the store.

Remember This Beautiful Day

This last layout is done with the NEW My Private Happiness collection. The Dusty Attic chippy is first painted white than I added some glimmer mists to it. I also used the punched out portion from the chipboard and the same mist and did some masking with it. The photo is my grand daughter hamming it up for the camera.

Again this collection comes with all these wonderful tags and pieces that can be cut out and used on your creations.

I fussy cut the circles, inked the edges and used pop ups to give them dimension on the layout.

Well that is it for today! I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

I Miss *CT Flying Unicorn*

Hi everyone and happy Sunday, wow this weekend has gone by WAY too fast! Today I have a layout that I have made using the sketch and journal format from Once Upon a Sketch. I have also used the gorgeous new Maja Design papers and lots of Dusty Attic available at the Flying Unicorn store. I did lots of distressing, masking with gesso, stamping, misting and machine stitching on this layout. The photo is 4 of my grandkids and “I Miss” having them live close enough to me that we can visit when ever we want to.

Most of the flowers are from Manor House and they are also available in the store. I tucked in some bloomers, twine hearts and a Prima resin piece. The Dusty Attic leaves are just painted white and then misted with olive mist while still wet.

The Dusty Attic border scroll is first painted with black crackle paint then while it was still wet I dabbed on some perfect pearls powder.

One more close up.

Well that is it for today! I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

For Father Collection from Pion *CT Flying Unicorn*

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I have some layouts and cards that I have created with the gorgeous From Father Collection from Pion, available at Flying Unicorn store. I love this collection to bits as there are sheets that are just pieces to fussy cut out to embellish your creations.

My first layout is titled So Proud, and is two of my grandsons this year. I have used the color palette from The Color Room for this week. The cute little tags and butterflies are fussy cut from the papers. I did lots of distressing with the Prima Distress tool, added some Dusty Attic Chippys and inked with the Prima dark brown in…all available in the store too!

I added some ZVA crystals to the butterflies and the chippy is just painted with Distress Crackle Paint.

My next layout is titled Christine and this is a photo of my mom when she was about 17. It is very faded but I love it as I do not have many photos of her when she was young. I have used this weeks palette from CSI. I did lots of distressing again with the Prima tool and some masking with gesso in the background.

The corner scrolls and chicken wire are from Dusty Attic and I have painted them white first with dabber paint and than I added some glimmer mists and distress stain to them. All available in the store.

Thank you for Being You tag. The Pion collections come with these sheets that are loaded with tags, stamps, postcards etc…and they are so much fun to create with and the projects just seem to make themselves. This tag is all fussy cut items from that collection, the only thing I added was a bow and some liquid pearls to finish it off.

For the Happy Fathers Day card I first created a tag from the collection and than I added it to the card with another fussy cut strip from the paper. I tucked in some corrugated board and added some twine, a bow and flower, and some liquid pearls.

Well that is it for today. Alda has loaded up the store this week with so many new goodies and she said she has boxes arriving daily!  I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Loving Memories * SOUS *

TGIF! Yippee it is Friday…and today is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and the gorgeous sketch is by the amazing Sandi Clarkson. I have used papers from my Feb Kit at Flying Unicorn.   I have done lots of distressing, inking and layers on this layout. The photo is my mom and I have scrapped it before but this layout will go to one of my kids in their next album from me.

The bird cage chippy is just painted in a peach color and I added some liquid pearls to it.

On the title tag I have added some crinkle seam binding a little metal key, a vintage button and a flower.

Close up of the flower cluster. I added in some pearls, a shabby chic piece from Prima and some butterflies punched from the paper scraps.

Here is a close up of the distressing and layers.

Well that is it for today. Come on over to the Stuck on U Sketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
