Always Dream * The Paper Mixing Bowl *

Happy Sunday all and welcome to my blog. There is a new challenge site that started this month called “The Paper Mixing Bowl”. They supply you with a recipe card and the ingredients for the challenge. Fun huh !!!!  They sent me the first recipe card, Devil’s Chocolate Cake, a couple of weeks ago and asked me if I would like to create a layout for them to display….well how much fun is that of course I said yes! So here is Recipe card #1 and my layout.

Even the sketch is yummy! I have used papers from BoBunny, flowers from Petaloo and the lamp chippy is from Dusty Attic. These are all available in the FlyingUnicorn store. The main ingredient is chocolate so the BoBunny paper was perfect. The photo is my and my brother in Vegas. You had to write about a special moment that you have hoped for and it happened. Well I have wanted to go on a vacation with my brothers and their families for a long time, and in Sept 2010 we all went to Vegas.

This top corner was fun. I have used a Prima mask, and plastered it with gesso. After that dried I added some glimmer mist and the flowers.

This is a bit blurry but you can see that I have two tags here. The top one is the title tag and under that is the journaling.

Close up of the flower cluster. I have added in some crinkle seam binding and a twine bow.

I love the way the lamp post chippy turned out. It is painted white first, than I added some glimmer mist and a vine with roses to it.

Well that is it for today! I hope that you all stop by ThePaper Mixing Bowl for a visit and try out the new challenge. I still have news to share…and more creations this week from the yummy March kit from the Flying Unicorn!!! I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
