Je'taime *Flying Unicorn, TCR, Fabscraps*

Hi everyone! This month the Flying Unicorn is sponsoring the Color Room and today is the 4^th and last reveal. Once again the CT at the Flying Unicorn submitted some gorgeous inspiration pieces.  Here is this weeks palette and my layout. I have used the NEW Marie Antoinette Collection from Fabscraps. This new collection is just so yummy and the colors were perfect for this palette. I did lots of masking and texture in the background.

The title and frame chippys are also in the collection. I have first painted them with gesso and misted with a light pink glimmer mist. Love this new liquid pearl pen I got from Flying Unicorn, the pearls just turn out perfect with it. It is called Viva Pearl Pen and is available in the store.http://www.flyingunicornstore.com/

I added a touch of gauze in the background and touches of gesso on the flower.

The Hexagons are cut from the Fabscraps collection also. I have done some embossing on them and inked the edges. You can also see the masking and texture background on this close up.

Pretty **SUOS**

HI there and TGIF!!!!! Well today is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and wow its almost the end of September too! Sandi Clarkson created this fun sketch to work with and I decided to go with the new Goddess collection from 7 Dots. It is available in the store at the Flying Unicorn. It went with some fun and bright colors for this photo of my grand daughter on her 3^rd birthday.

The flowers and chippys are from Dusty Attic and also available in the FlyingUnicorn store.

I did some stamping with gesso and the chicken wire chippys before added them to the layout.

Enchanted Forest **CSI and Green Tara**

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Well Fall is here now in BC and it is getting chilly at night…foggy in the morning and the leaves are starting to turn colors. It will be so pretty in a couple of weeks with all the fall colors. Today I have a layout that I have created using this weeks case file from CSI and lots of yummy Green Tara flowers and embellishments. The sketch is from Once Upon aSketch, they are working with CSI this month on all challenges. Here is how I solved this case.

The Scene: use all colors in the palette and the sketch. Check. The background paper is a resist paper and I have used inks and mists to get the right colors. The flowers and lace are also misted to get them just right.

The Evidence: I have used a branch and lots of flowers and behind the photo some newsprint. 

Testimony: I have used some inspiration words for my journaling. Anything to get me journaling on my layouts is great…I want to look back in 10 years and know who, what, where, when and why about my layouts. I am slowly trying to do this on lots of my work.  

Case solved! Woo Hoo !

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. I am getting a bit behind on my blog posts so here is a quick one. The Flying Unicorn is the sponsor this month at The Color Room. This weeks palette is just gorgeous and I think this photo of my grandson at the beach was just perfect for it. I have used white cardstock as the background and lots of goodies from the Flying Unicorn September kit to finish it off.

Lots of distressing, stitching and mediums on the background. I made the cracked tiles from a tut on Gabby’s blog. The cute little metal pieces are from Fabscraps the chippys are all Dusty attic and available in the Flying Unicornstore. I thought this chippy looked like seaweed.

Love these tiles that I made and they were so so easy too.

All Smiles **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Right now at the FlyingUnicorn we are promoting 7 Glypsies papers and it is 20 percent off right now in the store. I have a layout to share that I have made with their Trousseau Collection. I love all the little pieces that can be fussy cut from this collection to add dimension to your layout. I have done lots of punching, masking and fussy cutting on this layout.

I have used two different Prima masks and molding paste on the background. The store has recently loaded up with new masks. I have punched out the hexagons, inked and added some gesso to the edges.

 The white flowers and the chippys are Dusty Attic and these are also available in the store. The background flowers and tags have all been fussy cut from the collection papers.

Hi everyone and happy Hump Day! Fabscraps has 3 new gorgeous collections available and I have been having so much fun with them! Since my blog giveaway this month is the Christmas Collection I thought I would share one of my layouts with you from this collection. I have done some masking behind the photo to resemble a wreath and lots of punching and distressing on this layout.

 I LOVE all of the chipboard pieces that come with this collection. I have just painted them white with gesso and misted them. The metal heart is also from Fabscraps…so so yummy!

The bells are a chippy done the same way as the title and I have added more Fabscraps metal pieces to the bottom cluster.

Timeless *CT Flying Unicorn, CSI, OUAS*

Hi everyone and happy Monday to you all! Wow I can not believe how fast this month has gone by, let alone how fast this year has gone! Eeeeek, before you know it will be winter ewww hehe. Today I have a layout that I have made for CSI and Once Upon a Sketch..they have joined up and combined challenges this month. I have used papers from Maja Design, they are from the store at the FlyingUnicorn. I fussy cut the photo of my grandson and added lots of goodies….here is how I solved this case.

The Scene: use all colors in the palette and the sketch. Check.

The Evidence: I have done some masking of dots, and the striped corrugated board in the background. I have done some barbed wire doodles that I learned on Gabrielle’s blog and the journal strips on the flags are from packaging.

Testimony: My journaling is hand written and in several spots on the layout.   Case solved! Weeeeee !
