Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Yippee…finally some decent summer weather here! I went camping on the weekend and it was so relaxing and just a great get away. For this layout I used this week’s palette at TCR and the yummy sketch from Dusty Attic. I had a few problems when I started the layout but then it just fell together. I did lots of stamping, in fact under the big white flower is a huge stamping BOOBOO eeeeek, and I was not about to start over again so TIP: when you booboo… EMBELLISH !! LOL. Ok so lots of stamping, distressing, inking and I made my own pink flowers from a tutorial from Vicky Alberto. The photo is my grand daughter and her Pal Quilla.
For the DA hinges I painted them with Distress paints and added some liquid pearls and gems to them. The amazing stick pin is from Angelica’s etsy. YUMMY! Here you can also see the flowers that I made and the butterflies that I just punched out, inked, and added some liquid pearls to.
I used some Tim Holtz acrylic pieces and some Tattered Angels transparent chips in various areas.
Another close up of the DA hinge and the stitching and stamping that I did.
Here is a couple more close-ups of all the layers and goodies that I used.
Ok well that is it for today. I had a great time making this layout. Friday is reveal day at Scrap That! and I will be blogging some sneak peeks in a couple of day. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week. Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
