Lazy Days of Summer

Hi Everyone and welcome to my blog. Well this weekend went by way too fast yet again.  I have a few vacation days left and I think I will take the next couple of Fridays off, and get caught up on some scrapping J For this layout I used the sketch from Dusty Attic and this weeks palette at TCR. The photo is my DH and daughter a couple of weeks ago...we had just did my dad's ashes and there was lots of family there...a very special day and I love this photo. I went to the local church thrift shop on my way home from work one day this week and picked up a few doilys…I used one of them on this layout. I fussy cut out the background paper and did some masking, distressing and inking.

I used a few DA pieces on this layout. I first painted them all white, than I added some smooch spray to them. I finished them off with some gems. In this close up you can see the masking behind one of the DA pieces, and that gorgeous thrift shop doily J

Here is another one of the doily and some DA…these doilys were just a steal of a deal..I think I paid like 25 cents for each of them.

Here are a couple more close-ups of the DA and flower clusters. I just love the DA piece that the title is on.

Ok well that is it for today. This is going to be a busy week for me. Sneak peeks are in a few days for the gorgeous September Scrap That! kit, and then the reveal day blog hop is on August 26th. We have fantastic prizes to be given away and I hope to see all of you at the hop J Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

And hey, if you do get to Strathmore next month we MUST get together. It would be so nice to meet you in person. Be sure and let me know if you are coming!!
