JOY **Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas Eve!!!!! Today I have a layout to share that I created for the Flying Unicorn using Authentiques Glistening Collection, new Petaloo Flowers and lots of Shimmerz products! My cutie pie grandson…getting so big now!

 

The background I have used a couple of masks with Shimmerz Texturez.

 

I also added lots of drips of Shimmerz mists and paints in the background and tucked in lots of bits and pieces.

Holiday Ornaments with Shimmerz

Hello everyone! It is my turn on the Shimmerz blog today! I love it when I go to a dollar store and find a great treasure to alter! I found this metal bird house for $2…well I just had to buy it and make a Christmas decoration out of it!

The pinecones are all real and I have painted on some Tidy Widy Texturez to make is look like snow on them.

For the roof I first added some gel medium to it and after that dried I used a mask and added some Gold Mine Texturez and Spun Sugar Dazzlerz. The snowflake chippys are all finished with Spun Sugar Dazzlerz.

After I assembled everything I finished everything off with some dabs of Tidy Widy Texturez and Goldie Lox Shimmeringz! I wish I had taken a photo before I started to show you how easy it is to transform those treasures into holiday ornaments!

a very Merry Christmas - Flying Unicorn Mojo Monday

Hi everyone and a big Happy Holidays to you all! Wow Christmas is getting so close now, it will be here and gone before you know it! It is my turn at the Flying Unicorn to use the Mojo Monday sketch and this one is just so festive and fits the Holiday season perfectly! It is created by Alda and the cutie pie in the photo is my grandson…it does not get any cuter then that awwwww. I used bits and pieces from Authentique Tradition Collection with some cardstock background and corrugated board.

 

 

I used lots of new goodies from the Flying Unicorn store and have listed them all at the end.

 

 

The trees are made from some canvas materials and lots of Shimmerz products on them. Thank you Jen Snyder for the inspiration to make them!

Love Life **Shimmerz**

Hi everyone!  Today is my turn up on the Shimmerz Blog and I have a layout to share with lots of Shimmerz goodies on it! I love this photo of my niece…she is expecting a baby and she is just so lovely here! The papers and flowers I are my Prima BAP prize...so so pretty!

First I did some masking in the background with Patina Texturez and molding paste. Combining mediums with your masks is so much fun!

The chippy is finished with the new Gold Mine Texturez. I heat set it until it bubbled for even more texture…love the look of it!

And lastly I finished off the layout with some drips and splats in Golden Wheat Shimmerz and Seafoam Spritz!

NEW Fabscraps French Heritage Collection

Hi everyone and Happy Hump Day!  Today I have a layout to share with the gorgeous NEW French Heritage Collection from Fabscraps. I am in LOVE with the colors and all of the fun fussy cut elements in this collection! I have fussy cut the door and some of the big flowers.

 

 

I did some masking in the background and added some Treasure Hymn Shimmerz to it to make it blend in a bit. Here are some close up of the amazing chippys with this collection!

 

 

The metals are all Fabscraps embellishments.

Flying Unicorn Dec Kit of the Month Part 2 and Scrap For Help

HI everyone! Today I have part 2 of the Flying Unicorn Dec Kit“Magic” This layout features Marion Smith Designs Nirvana Collection. The colors in this collection are just so amazing! This is also for my December Scrap for Help reveal. I had to use threads and a paper bag. Well I decided to use the paper bag handles on this one and tucked them in with the clusters.

 

 

 

I LOVE the Shimmerz Dimentionz in the kit…here you can see the drops of it and I also painted it on the hearts.

 

 

Just look at all the fun embellishments in this kit..everything just goes together perfectly!

 

I have one more layout to share from this kit and believe me I still have so much kit left to play with! This layout features the Kaisercraft collection in the kit! I have fun with the background on this one! Lots of gesso, stamping and masking.

 

There are some Prima canvas pieces in the kit that I had fun piecing here and there. I also ripped up the ribbon in the kit and used it for added texture. The flowers in the Kit add on are just delish and I made with leaves but just stamping on cardstock and fussy cutting them out.

 

 

Look at all the texture in the background…yummy! Everything here comes in this kit!

 

One last closeup you can see the Shimmerz Dimentionz in the background…so much fun!

Flying Unicorn Dec Kit of the Month Part 1

HI everyone! Today I have a layout to share that I have made with the Flying Unicorn Dec Kit of the Month…Magic! My grandson just had his 1^st birthday and this layout features that lil cutie pie hehe!

I have used the Pink Paislee Color Wash Collection. I love the soft colors as it allows you to do pretty much do what ever you want on the background.  

The kit comes with some fun tags and add ons! Love these cut out tags and the cute frames for the photos!

The background masking is done with a combo of some Molding Paste, the Shimmerz Spritz and Shimmerz Dimentionz in the kit. I finished it off with those gorgeous Prima flowers in the flower add on.

Each month our kits feature an Off the Page project and this months is a shadow box. I decided to make a gift for a friend and filled mine with candles.

 

I used some Marion Smith Designs papers and covered the box first.

I applied some Martha Stewart Crackle to the frame on top…love the crackle with this stuff and Alda is bringing it into the store very soon! The flowers are a combo of Prima and Petaloo’s and that amazing key is a Flying Unicorn Adornment!
