Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! These are a few of my favorite projects I have made this year! I am so thankful for the opportunity to design for amazing companies and blessed to have made so many friends in the online community! Christmas - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Wow I can not believe that it is almost Christmas, and almost the end of 2016. This year has gone by crazy fast! Today I have a Holiday layout to share…two of my cutie pie grandsons..awww!! Creative Embellishments has so many amazing chipboard pieces for all of your Holiday and Winter themed creations!  

 

 

The title piece is from the Merry Christmas set. I have embossed it with gold to make it stand out on the layout. All of the other chipboard pieces are first covered in gesso and than I did some embossing on them. I used a variety of chipboard snowflakes from the Large Snowflake and regular Snowflake sets. Both sets come with lots of fun Snowflakes to play with!

 

 

Another big favourite of mine is the Grunge Snowflake Stamp…so much fun, and you will find this stamp used on almost all of my winter pieces.

 

 

For the clusters I have tucked in pieces from the Holly and Berry Flourish set and a few chippy Snowflakes.

Holiday Tags with Shimmerz Paints

Hello Shimmerz fans! Wow it is almost Christmas and I have been busy making cards and tags. Today I have a set of 3 tags to share. Each of these have lots of love gone into them and will adorn a gift under the tree.

 

I started with the background and added some soft color with “Well Blue Me Down Coloringz.” Next came some stencilling for a bit of added texture, with “Spun Sugar Dazzlerz.” Dazzlerz and Texturez are perfect for stencilling! So much fun!

 

 

After adding all of the embellishments I always add little splatters and splashes of Inklingz. I have added “Penny 4 Your Thoughts, and Good as Gold Inklingz” to finish these off.

My Little Frosty Man - Shimmerz

Hello Shimmerz fans! Today I have a winter layout of my special friend Olaf…he is my cutie pie furry friend and a part of our family.

 

 

In the background surrounding the photo, I did some shading with Mama Sings the Blues Coloringz and Steely Blue Eyes Inklingz. Add a bit spray of water to blend them.

 

The Creative Embellishments chipboard is finished with gesso, beads and a coat of Spotlight White Inklingz for some added Shimmer!

 

 

I finished it all off with splatters of Penny 4 Your Thoughts and Steely Blue Eyes Inklingz..along with a few splatters of Ride My Tide Creameez.

Run Wild and Free - Tribute to Two Amazing Women in my Life.

Hi everyone. Today is such a sad day as I mourn the loss of my good friend Alda and my sister Winnie. Alda passed away on December 1^st…my sister just a few hours ago. I am not one for talking too much personal stuff on my blog or online, but felt the need to create to take my mind off of things. I just really do not know how to express it all in words.

 

I actually started this layout for Alda as she was in love with Unicorns…but as I learned the news of my sister I added a few more touches that reflect her. Winnie loved  horses and was such a gentle and caring soul.

 

 

Both of these women touched my life with their passion of giving, loving, caring and compassion. I send peaceful thoughts and wishes to Alda’s family during this time. I look up to the sky and remember both of these special women.

 

I will miss you both and loved you. Hugs

 

 

Christmas Card/Tag Set - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have another fun Christmas Card and Tag set to share. I have gone with traditional colors for this set…with some added touches of mixed media girly grunge.

 

These were super easy and fun to create. I started with the Grunge Snowflake Stamp in the background first. The Snowflake and Tree chippys are all finished with some gesso and some Shimmerz Inklingz. Look at that adorable Whimsical Tree…I love it!
