October Challenge - Creative Embellishments

Hi Everyone and Happy October! I love October…new Fall colors to play with and scary themed projects to make. I had lots of fun with the October Challenge inspiration photo at Creative Embellishments!!

My project is a Halloween Tag. I used one of the chippy Large Tags to start.

I adorned it with a few chippy Birds, some Baby’s Breath and topped it off with a cute Boo Flair! Have fun playing along and I can not wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous - Shimmerz Water Color

Hello Shimmerz fans!! Today I have a fun watercolor layout…soft blended Shimmerz colors! The papers and flowers are from 49 and Market and the chippys are from Creative Embellishments.

 

For the background I did some stencil work with Muddy Buddy Texturez and Salt of the Earth Paste-eez.

 

If you use some clear gesso on your background paper first…add water and then colors painted on. Add more water and watch the pretty colors blend together. My background is a combination of: Ruby Lost Her Slippers and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz, Chocolate Brownie Coloringz and lots of Quite Yer Wine-n Vibez.

Beach Layout - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a layout of me and one of my grandsons…we spent a lot of time camping this year! I used lots of different nautical type chippys on this one. The papers and Flowers are from 49 and Market! Perfect mix for this fun beachy layout!

 

I tucked in a Nautical Compass in the flower cluster. 

 
Little pieces from the Fishnet Panel tucked in here and there. I also used two CE stamps in the background….Distressed Text and the Grunge Snowflake Stamp. I know snowflake stamp sounds funny but I just used the line parts from it.

 

 

To finish it all off I added a title from the On The Beach Word Set.

Cards - My Creative Scrapbook Limited Edition September Kit

Hi everyone! I am back with another share from the yummy September Limited Edition  My Creative Scrapbook Kit! The Sept Limited Edition kit is loaded with so many goodies to finish your projects with! I love to create a few cards a month…just to have on hand and for all the special little moments that you need one. I find handmade cards/tags and so special.  

I used layers upon layers of the pretty Blue Fern papers in the kit to create my cards. Just distress the edges of all of the layers and start to add them together.

Add some kit flowers, a papers doily, splatters of mist and whalla you are done.

Family - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! I have been on a bit of a stamp kick lately if you have not noticed. Creative Embellishments has so many gorgeous stamps in the store..you should check them out.

For my background I used the Distressed Text, Checked and Chevron stamps. I love how these distressed stamps add a big of grunginess to my project! I added some color and stencil work with Shimmerz Paint products.

I used the Rectangle Heart Frame chippy to matt the photo.

The two title chippys are from the Small Family Border Word Set..there are many words sets also in the store.

Jounal Mini Book - Shimmerz Paints

Hello Shimmerz fans!! Today I have a share from my Olaf and Me Journal Mini Book. I went for soft earthy tones…those are my favs!

After applying my papers to the pages, I did stencil work with Salt of the Earth Paste-eez and Tidy Widy Texturez. I love both of these products for stencil work, one has a matt finish and the other a gritty more shimmery finish. The papers and flowers are from 49 and Market and the chippys from Creative Embellishments.

Here you can see the different textures on the two paste products.

Adding color is so much fun, the color combos are unlimited when you start with a plainer background.

For my background colors I used 4 Leaf Clover Spritz, Hot Fudge and Before Dawn Vibez.
