Scrap That! October “Bella Rosa” Kit featuring Prima Romantique

Hi everyone and TGIF! Welcome to Scrap That! October “Bella Rosa” Kit reveal blog hop!!

If you have just arrived here from Robin’s blog you are in the correct place!  If not, head back to the Scrap That! blog for the blog hop order and links.

Today I’m going to share with you my projects using the Scrap That! “Bella Rosa” Kit.  This kit is so YUMMY and the embellishments go perfectly with the gorgeous papers. I used the kit sketch and only the main kit ingredients on my first layout “lovely”. The photo is my niece and great niece. This layout was created for one of the monthly Challenges going on at Scrap That! So make sure you stop on by there and join in on the fun. More chances to win some yummy goodies!!!

I used the Glubers that come in the kit and made the lacy flower…they are SO much fun to use! Yepp I ordered more J Our own Robin posted a video tutorial on how to make a Gluber flower! Just click on the VIDEO link on the top navigation bar on our NING site. The Dusty Attic sweet pea border also comes in the kit and I have put up a tutorial in the Scrap That! forums, on how I altered it.

I used lots of liquid pearls to accent all the layers and painted on bits of gesso on the papers.

TIP: to soften a bold background, try painting on some gesso. I did not use much on this layout as I wanted it to be bold still.

For my next layout, “LOVE” I did some distressing, masking, fussy cutting and used lots of layers. I used the September Prima BAP Sketch for this layout.

Here are some close ups. I love the flower clusters mixed with the Prima gems.

“Diva” ..I just love this photo of my grand daughter. This layout was so much fun to make. I used a Prima brick mask and some gesso on it for a soft look. The stamping under the photo is a LaBlanche stamp. They are just so gorgeous! The mask is from Tim Holtz and I masked over the gesso with inks and mists.  I used this week’s palette from The Color Room for this one.

The rolled flower is another one done with the Glubers and some silk material from my stash. You are going to love them they are so easy to make! I just love the new DA leaves and added them to this layout too!  I also made the bigger pink flowers.

Some close ups. The doily I bought at the church thrift shop, washed them up and they are perfect for layouts. The gem swirl is from ZVA and the butterflies are punched out and inked with a gem in the center.
