Hi everyone. Have you ever bought those 8x10 books from
collections? You know the ones that have 2 or 3 of each paper in them. Well I
have a few times and always have so much left over long after the 12x12 papers
are used up. So I was going to try doing a collage page for my journal using
one. BUT I loved it so much when it was done that I added a photo. Well then I
loved it even more and thought now what…this is so nice I want to frame it.
Then I spotted this 11 x 14 box frame in my room. Have had it forever and I
also had a canvas the same size….soooooo why not use MORE from the book of
papers for the background, put it all on the canvas so I can frame it. So here
it is. This is a mixed media collage background inspired by Limor Webber. I
have used a Prima Romance Novel 8x10 book, a Prima mask in the background on
top of the collage and Kaisercraft flowers…all from the Flying Unicorn store. I
have also used lots of Lindys Stamp Gang mists and NEW Dusty Attic chippys.
I chose these flowers because they matched the misting in
the background just perfect!
These chippys are new from Dusty Attic, painted with gesso
and misted with some Lindys Moonshadow mists. The metal pieces are from
Fabscraps. The very outside layer is pieces of that same 8x10 book …pieced
together.
I added in touches of liquid pearls to finish it off. This
is going on my wall, to me the colors are so amazing.
Well that is it for today. I hope that you all have a
fantastic week! Don’t forget to stop by the Flying Unicorn store for all of the
newest and greatest releases! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments,
I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping.
