Memories **Swirlydoos**

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Well I finally got one of my monthly challenge layouts finished for Swirlydoos, and this one was a tuffy I tell ya. All home made embellishments. I called this one Memories…I am terrible with titles I know!!! Lol. The photo is my daughter McKenzie when she graduated. I will walk you through what I did with close-ups.
First thing I made was that ruffle of paper around the outer circle. This took forever! I used a tut from Ingvild Bolme, you can see it here. There is a lot of sewing on this ruffle but it is gorgeous when completed. Here is a side few close up of it, there is so much dimention to it.
Next I made the flowers and leaves. The pink flowers are from a tut from Lisa, you can see it here. These flowers are so shiney in person, just beautiful. The large blue flower I just made that. I bought some fabric and some lace fabric and sewed that flower. I added a gem center to it. I LOVE IT, I think it turned out awesome and I will make more. I rolled up some music note paper and tucked them into the flower clusters. I also had 2 pieces left over from the ruffle so I just folded them into little fans and tucked them in as well.
In this close up you can see the swirls that I made. I just used liquid pearls on a transparency and then cut them out. The leaves I cut with my cricut. I folded them and inked them.
I did some back ground stamping on the inner circle and on the corner pieces that I cut out with my cricut. I first stamped them and then I misted the corners with Peach glimmer mist.
This layout has so much dimension, and I so love the way it all turned out. I think my March kit should be here tomorrow with all my Dusty Attic goodies that I ordered, Yippee. I have so many layouts planned in my head when that all arrives. Thank you so much for stopping in for a peek. I hope that you all have a fantastic week, be safe and stay warm. Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
