Flying Unicorn March Kit “Putting on the Ritz”

Happy Saturday everyone! Today is reveal day for the Flying Unicorn March Kit “Putting on the Ritz” and I am going to show you a couple of the creations that I have made with it.

Christine

First off is the Off The Page project included in the kit. This dress form is wooden and she is 17 inches tall. I could not wait to get at this project. Her name is Christine and she is named after mom late mom. Yes she is an angel and she has wings! I have made the skirt out of my Dad’s piano music which is over 50 years old. The bodice is made from the kit papers and her necklace and the flowers came with the kit as well. I made one flower from the piano music. The black netting is off of my ham from Christmas LOL! I new that netting would be good to save.

Find the Joy in Life

The Flying Unicorn takes great pride in bringing you beautiful papers from all over the world and this month we are so excited to introduce you to Inkido papers from Sweden. This layout is created with the Inkido papers in the kit. The photo is my daughter and grandson playing with bubbles, I love that the bubbles showed up in the photo.

I have done lots of distressing and inking on this layout. There is a big white flower in the kit that I tore apart and used the white petals and leaves in with some Petaloo flowers.

The two chippys are from my stash and are first painted white, misted with glimmer mist and I added some liquid pearls to them.

I love the satin flowers in the kit, so classy looking. I punched some butterflies from the same papers and added some liquid pearls to the centers.

Johnathan

If you follow me you know that I have to get my girly grunge on once in a while and this is my Kit one. I have done lots of misting, masking, used some gesso and distressing on this one. The photo is my grandson playing outside.

I machine stitched around the outside of the layout after all the masking was done. There is a 12x12 transparency that come in the kit and I have cut it up and tucked it in here and there. I have done some stamping under the transparency as well.

More stamping and goodies here, and you can see the background masking. The fence is from my Dusty Attic stash and I have done a simple finish on it of just painting it white, it is misted with a light grey glimmer mist and I added some liquid pearls to it.

Well that is it for today, I have some great news that I hope I can share soon and I will be back with more creations that I have made with this gorgeous Kit! I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
