New Life *CSI Case File No. 26 – CT Flying Unicorn

Hi everyone and Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians out there. Today I have a layout to share that I have created for the CSI Case File no. 26 and for inspiration in my challenge at the Flying Unicorn. The colors in this weeks palette are so yummy and the 7 Dots papers were perfect for it. The photo is my daughter…she is due in November and this is always such an exciting time during pregnancy.

After solving the clue of what papers to use for this case I had to determine what evidence to use. I have gone with scallops, flowers, metal and crown. Next is the testimony part…..journaling criteria. I struggle with journaling and that is why I love CSI cases so much…they push me to journal and try to tell a story. I have gone with inspirational words to base my journaling on. “You and Me”, “New Life”, “Love”. All the great things you feel when you are expecting and falling more in love each day before you even meet.

I have done lots of machine stitching on the layers and hand sewn two flowers from some silk and added a bloomer center and a metal Prima crown piece. The brick masking is done with gesso and than I added some glimmer glam.

The chippys are from Dusty Attic. I have painted them black and added some glimmer glam to them to finish them off.

Ok that is it for today. Don’t forget to stop by CSI for some sleuthing fun. Most of the products used in this layout are available at the Flying Unicorn Store. Oh yes and don’t forget about the Flying Unicorn Blog Hop for one day only…July 2nd. There will be lots of amazing give aways and  you can also win a Tim Holtz Vagabond die cut machine…that is just an insane giveaway..YUMMY!  I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
