August Challenge Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Happy August…new month means a new challenge at Creative Embellishments. From the inspiration photo I used one of the Large Tags. It is covered with 13 Arts, Until Dawn papers first.

 

 

I love the Bird Cage chippys and they are all just finished with a coat of 13 Arts gesso.

The sentiment is from the Dream Word Set. For the glass twist I used some 13 Arts Mica to finish it all off.

Christmas Tags in July - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone and this is my Happy Christmas in July Post!! I love love making this super large tags and have started already for Christmas. I started with tags from the Large Tag Set. I added some paper to them and did some stencil work and mediums from 13 Arts.  Next on the background I did some Grunge Snowflake Stamping…one of my favourite winter time stamps!! 

The Jumping Deer chippys are my centerpiece along with some Large Snowflakes.  

I also added in some chippy pieces from the Vintage FlourishSet 3 to make it look like the deer are flying.

To finish it all off I added some pieces from the Christmas Sentiments set. All of the chippys are finished with gesso and some diamond dust sprinkled on them.

July Limited Edition Kit Tags - My Creative Scrapbook

Hi everyone!  I am back with another share from the gorgeous July Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I created three fun tags and I even used the flower packaging as the background.

 
First I cut three tags from the flower packaging…I love to use the carboard it is so sturdy as a tag! I also cut pieces from the kit papers.

 
Adhere all of you pieces to the tags.

 
Lastly add some twine, embellishments from the kit and splashes of 13 Arts gesso to finish them all off.

Precious - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! As lots of you know we have a new addition to our family! Livvy is an Austrailian Labradoodle and Olaf loves her to bits…she is “Precious”.  She keeps me busy busy too...but she is so much fun and so loving.

I started by adding my fav CE stamp in the background….the Distressed Text Stamp!

I did not alter the chippys at all for this layout…I loved the natural color and they just pop! I used pieces of the Doily 2, Moroccan Lattice Panel and Flourish Set 5.

To finish it off my sentiment is from the Girl Word Set.

Ayeeda Shiny Powders with 13Arts

Hello 13@rts Fans!! Today on the 13 Arts blog there is a design team group post, featuring Ayeeda’s Shiny Powders! These are high pigment powders that I have mixed with a bit of Gel Medium and used as a paste! The papers on my tag are from the Vintage Moments Collection. 

 

My chipboard piece is covered with Cyan Green Shiny Powder and I then added touches of Rusty Brown to it. Use a heat tool and this is ready to use on my project right away. Look at the amazing colors..yummy!! 

 I did a bit of stencil work in the background with Twinkling Pearl Shiny Powder and just used a spatula to add some of the Luster Black to the edges. While the black was wet I added some Natural Mica.  

To finish it all off I added a couple of Transparent Foil Butterflies and a title!

Large Tag - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Today I have a large tag to share with lots of CE goodies on it! I started with one of the Large Tags. I love these tags! They are not flimsy at all…will stand up to a lot. The chipboard pieces are all finished with a coat of 13Arts Gesso. Background stamping is with the Distressed Text Stamp.

 

This is my first time using pieces from the Harlequin Panel…love this chippy!

 As the centerpiece I used one of the Mint Box Flourish Frames and a piece from the Small Sentiments Word Set. Finish it all off with a few flowers and some 13 Arts beads.
