Be You - Card with Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! It is starting to feel Spring like in my part of the world so today I have a card to share with a Spring feel to it..nice soft colors and pretty flowers!

 

The card is created with lots of layers and layers of Creative Embellishments chippys with the cluster! I have used a CE Square Mini Frame and a piece from the NEW Scribble Hearts set. Both are just finished with a coat of gesso to add to the softness of the card.

 

I tucked in pieces from Flourish Set 10 in with the flowers…like cute little leafy steams poking out! They are finished with gesso and a light coat of Shimmerz Bamboo Leaf Spritz.

Valentine Pocket Tag Set - Petaloo

Hello Petaloo Fans! Shona here today, and I have a fun Valentines pocket card to share, created with Graphic 45 Childrens Hour Collection and lots of yummy Petaloo Blooms and Trims.

 

I love making tags with a matching pocket envelope to place them in. Here is a pic of the Pocket embellished with lots of Petaloo Botanica and Velvet Dogwood flowers. I added a piece from the Crochet Lace Fancy Trim set, on the bottom of the pocket and the tag. Such pretty trims!

 

This is the tag that is tucked inside of the pocket. It has the same flowers as the pocket piece with a few extras added in….and I added in a gorgeous Spring Berry Cluster, they are one of my favs! The chippys are from Creative Embellishments and I find that painting them white makes the colors of the Petaloo blooms just pop!

 

One last close up of the tag…those flowers are just gorgeous!

Off the Page Project - Flying Unicorn Feb Kit

Hi everyone! Each month the Flying Unicorn kits come with a fun Off the Page project to play with and this months is a decoration. It is a wooden stand that says LOVE. It was black to start but I added mixed media and lots of my touches to it!

 

 

The background is a texture paste. I also added some gorgeous Petaloo blooms that are in the kit….

 

Once that was dry I added some Shimmerz mists in 4 Leaf Clover and Cotton Candy to add a bit of color…I wanted it to be soft colors.

 

A few 13 ARTS beads to finish it all off!

Flying Unicorn February Your Passion Your Art Kit part 3

Hi everyone! I am back with another share from the gorgeous Flying Unicorn February Your Passion Your Art KOM. The Riddersholm Newport collection in the main kit is just so stunning and so much fun to play with! I love a collection that has a big variety of colors and not one specific theme. This is a layout of my grand daughter and Olaf…two big sweeties!

 

I did a little big of masking in the background. The shading is a combo of Distress Inks and Shimmerz. Look at the gorgeous resin pieces in the kit and those yummy Petlaoo Blooms!

 

The kit also comes with some Creative Embellishments chippys…I have them tucked up the left side on this layout. More beautiful Petlaoo flowers with some lace tucked in.

Heritage Journal with Shimmerz and Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone! Recently I decided to create a Heritage Journal as a gift and today I am going to share some pages from that journal. My journal pages tend to be more like little layouts, but I sure do have fun creating them! I used lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces on them because when creating a journal you kind of want each page to be quite flat. I also added all of the color with Shimmerz Inklingz!

 

I tucked in a chippy clock and added one of the chipboard keys. I used Inklingz in French Twist, Barnished Buckle and Giddy About Green. I find the Inklingz add beautiful color while leaving the pages looking old.

 

 

 If you mix up your Inklingz and put a put some on a craft mat you can use lids to dip into it then apply to your project to get the circles.

 

The Heritage Word chippy set is perfect for this Journal!

 

On these pages I tucked in pieces from Flourish Set 27 and behind the photo is a piece from the Film Picture Frame Set.

Hi everyone! Today I have a fun Card/Tag set that I created with Flying Unicorn January Your Passion Your Art KOM…AND I will be recreating this set tomorrow night live on Flying Unicorn Ustream Channel at 9PM est. Live shows are so much fun…everyone gets to visit and learn new tips and tricks.

Peace - Creative Embellishments Feb Challenge

Hi everyone! A new month means a new Challenge at Creative Embellishments! This months theme is to leave some white space on your creation….also use the inspiration photo. The photo made me think of circular…so that is what I went with.

 

 

I used the Clock Face and Feather Chippys to surround the photo and create a circular look.

 

I also used the Distressed Text Stamp in the background…this is one of my fav stamps to add just those added touches!

Flying Unicorn February Your Passion Your Art KOM

Hi everyone! It is reveal day for the Flying Unicorn February Your Passion Your Art KOM. Yippee one of the NEW Riddersholm collections is featured…Newport, and it is beautiful! I love a collection that is good for any themed layout! Today I  have a layout of my hubs and Olaf…we were at the beach on Vancouver Island and my daughter got this photo of them.

 

The kits are loaded with lots of pretty Petaloo Blooms to play with .I added in a few sea shells and some nautical themed chippys from Creative Embellishments.

 

I finished it off with touches of Shimmerz Inklingz.

 

I will also share a card that I created with the Small Art kit. This little kit is just jam packed full of goodies for your card/tag creations!
